“Relaxing Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed in this beautiful hotel at the weekend. Such a lovely setting and only a few minutes walk from the village of Burley. Our room was big, airy and comfortable with a lovely view across the meadow. Staff were friendly and breakfast very good.
We would definitely stay in this charming hotel again soon.

Room Tip: Rooms with views across the fields and deer park recommended

An enjoyable couple of days and worth repeating. As others have said, the hotel is a little 'tired' but very classical. Who wants to stay in a faceless chain hotel?Set in the most beautiful grounds. Views of deer, fox, etc.from the bedroom.
Exceedingly good food, obliging staff, very clean and worth repeating! Well done Burley staff!
Only one criticism. Fan in bathroom somewhat noisy. Please repair for the next people (room 36).

The Burley Manor Hotel provided my wife and me with a great value one night break in the heart of the New Forest.
The hotel looks like a tudor manor house but is, in fact, 19th century. It looks very imposing from outside and the house interior is pretty stunning also. The Christmas decorations were excellent too.
The room we had was in a modern single-floor wing. First impressions of the room were very good as it was large with lovely views from the french door/window. However, the furnishings were a little worn and past their peak. Apart from that, we were very comfortable and slept well.

We had dinner and breakfast in the beautiful dining room. The food was good but not outstanding. Christmas Pudding was a warm sponge affair with brandy sauce (not brandy butter as in the menu). There was no butter with the rolls. The starter and mains were hot when they were meant to be and the meat was of a good standard.
The staff were friendly and efficient and made us feel at home.
This short break was booked via Groupon and, certainly at the price we paid, the whole break was pleasant and great value.

Loved it all. We had the two night deal which was excellent, could not fault the food, the service, the staff, plus we had a very nice room overlooking the deer park. Other reviewers have said the hotel is tired and needs updating, but we love traditional, historic hotels and expect the odd bit of dated decor which may go with it. The reception rooms are beautifully decorated without losing the character of the place. Very convenient for exploring the New Forest and also for visiting Bournemouth and Southampton for shopping, shows, etc.

Had a two night stay in December, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were friendly helpful and attentive, room had great views and although the bathroom was a little dated we still found it very comfortable. One evening meal with wine was included and was well cooked, and was excellent, checked out the local pubs and decided to eat again at the hotel. We took our dogs, and were made very welcome the local scenery is simply stunning and we took full advantage of it. Local pubs were reasonably priced and within a few minutes walk. We will definitely be back for another visit

Had a lovely two night stay. Very comfortable room, excellent meal, and hotel nicely decked for the season. Had the weather been better, we would have also enjoyed the delightful scenery and wildlife on the doorstep. Burley village is very attractive, and within easy walking distance. No complaints whatsoever.

Room Tip: we had No.50 - very big and very quiet.

All the staff at this hotel was friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, some minor wear and tear but clean, spacious with beautiful views. In a very peaceful location but a villiage in short walking distance with lovely country pubs serving great food. Would definitely stay there again.
