“Fantastic Time at Forest Tea Rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at the Forest Tea Rooms. We took our Springer Spaniel dog, Muffin. Jane the proprietor was just marvellous and enhanced our stay with her great welcome and hospitality. She is a very enterprising lady and does a very conscientious job in keeping her guests happy. Breakfast was superb and overall we could not recommend it more. Good work Jane.

Room Tip: We had the Bungalow which is ideal for dogs with great walks on the doorstep

Friends and I stopped over in New Forest on the way back from Cornwall. Lovely and clean B&B in a great setting (5 min walk from centre of Burley). Looking after us was Jane, who gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. As there were four of us, we thought we would be staying in a family room. Turned out to be a two bedroom set up (one double and two singles) with private en-suite bathroom. Perfect! Full English breakfast next morning was really good and again Jane was the perfect hostess. She was also really helpful when planning the day ahead. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone staying in New Forest.

Our family stopped over at the Forest Tea House B&B for a night on the way to the Isle of Wight. We arrived mid-afternoon, got ourselves in and sorted before heading out for an evening meal in Burley. We met the owner on the way back that evening and sorted breakfast orders out. After sleeping well, we all met for a freshly cooked breakfast which everyone enjoyed. For the prices we paid (a double at £75, a twin also at £75 and a family room at £85), with free WiFi, we couldn't quibble about anything. I'd recommend a night or longer at the Forest Tea House B&B.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay in the Forest Tea House bungalow room. No complaints, the owner, Jane is very friendly and helpful, we could choose what time to have breakfast and what time to check out. Very comfy bed and nicely decorated room. Breakfast was very good, cereal, toast, jams, coffee, tea and juice followed by full english with choice of scrambled, fried or poached egg, all cooked beautifully. Great place to stay if you are intending to cycle, 9 routes of varying lengths start from Burley and helpful staff in the Cycle shop. We found the Queen's Head pub in the village was good value for food, 2 main meals for £10.95 and very tasty. Well worth a visit.

Stayed with my 7 month old daughter. The rooms were light and airy. Although there was traffic on the country road outside in the day it was quiet and peaceful at night.

Jane did an excellent cooked breakfast and was super accommodating for my daughter finding a high chair at very short notice. She was a darling host and made us feel at home!

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage be careful of the steep stairs.

We stayed for a weekend, and felt at home right away. A very warm and friendly welcome from Jane before we settled into our family room, which was spacious and comfortable. A great breakfast in the morning which set us up for the day. The B&B is in a lovely little village with two pubs in easy walking distance. New Forest walks to see the wildlife are plenty and close by. Will definitely return.
