“Always something there to surprise you!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

They're small enough to offer personal attention, but big enough to offer a stunning range of Cheeses, Wines and other items. Bread, olives, oils, vinegars and meats are all available and of exceptional quality and good value.

Service is excellent whenever you visit. The staff look after you, but don't flutter around, but when you want something, they're there.

There's always something new - a change in the menu, new wines, cheeses or sundowners when the weather is good. Sitting outside is always pleasant as Station Road is not busy and the pavement is wide.

The staff are all exceptionally knowledgable and they're clearly there because they enjoy what they do, not for a wage packet at the end of the week.

The "tastings" are always interesting with themes. I've attended many and enjoyed everyone. The owner, Steve Parker, is exceptionally knowledgable and has a sense of humour. The pairings of wines and cheeses are always good and I learn something on each occasion.

Vital to book to avoid disappointment.

“Stunning Cheese & Wine Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

If you fancy a change from the normal restaurants and you love wine and cheese, you have to try Cheese & Wine in Hampton. The venue is absolutely stunning and the smells are fantastic. There is so much choice, my husband and I didn't know where to start. Steve and all his staff were extremely knowledgeable and were on hand to guide us through all the choices, giving us tasters first.

Fantastic place, fantastic food and service, couldn't fault it and will go back again soon !

“Challenge yourself”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

No matter how widely I get to travel I never tire of coming back to Hampton Cheese and Wine, since you'll always find something that challenges your assumptions about cheese or wine without any hint of the pretentiousness you'll find starting a few miles north! For example, Red Leicester and Gouda, which I long believed had been processed to death are resurrected in several incredible artisan produced guises. Likewise who would have thought Vinho Verde could be trendy again. But that's only part of the adventure - I keep expecting the stock of cheeses to diminish, but on the contrary it continues to grow, whilst you will find some real gems in the wine stock. Above all you get the feeling of an owner who is confident in his knowledge and willing and happy to educate customers.

“Cheese-tastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

It's not often you an walk down the road from home on a summers eve and get great food, great service in a unique environment, but that's I got recently at the Cheese & Wine shop in Hampton. A superb selection of cheese (and not your run of the mill stuff either, although you can get a lump of cheddar if you wish). A great selection of wines by the glass or bottle. Delights from all over the world - who knew Brazil made such great wine - who knew! Service was 'just right'.
All in all a very enjoyable evening in a super room with quite the biggest wooden table I have ever seen.
I have used the Cheese and Wine shop to buy wine off sales historically too and the selection is always all too tempting - try it!

“Chilled evening out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Not being a great lover of pubs, for me its a great place to drink good wine, eat and talk without shouting at eachother.

The Wine & Cheese Company is friendly and informal. The staff know there stuff and the cheese platter is a great way to get to know your cheeses. You can even join in the very relaxed wine tastings which Steve holds.

Definetly a place to visit.
