Description: An absolutely incredible pub on the Coastal Road in Fanore, Ireland. The food is out of this world for pub food. Beautiful, artistic, inexpensive and of the highest quality. We had better food there than we did at several high end restaurants in Dingle. Please rate this place. It it totally worth a visit.

“Great pub.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

This was one of the best pubs we've been to during our three week stay. Food is great (I'd recommend the chowder) and the host is really fun (he gave us free beer the third time we showed up at his place :-).

“A Burren Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

I have been dropping into this bar for more years than I care to remember. It is a true classic. This time we were greeted by the new manager and he is just what this bar and indeed the west coast need. A great bar, great providence and a great talent at the bar....BLISS!

You have'nt really sampled the Burren without calling into this bar. They also do food, this time I just had a few pints- Mothers Milk!

GO, GO, GO!

“Blue heaven”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Great pub grub on the edge of the Earth. One heck of a collection of single malts as well, even if noon is a little early for that kind of exploration. You will understand the title if you see the place.

“Excellent food, service left alot to be desired.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012 via mobile

Called in early in the afternoon to get some info on the possibility of a taxi back to campsite later that evening. Barely got an answer from the less than happy looking barman (Clearly not the same guy written about in earlier reviews!) Called in around 7 for some dinner after a day on the beach. Beautiful views from the tables out front. Service was fast but not so friendly. Food was fantastic. Found it quiet for a sunny saturday evening. The staff need to cheer up a bit and learn how to talk to the punters a bit more. Would have stayed a bit longer if the welcome was warmer!! Could not fault the food though! Would chance it again and hope to meet some nicer staff!!

“A classic west Ireland Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2012

If you are ever travelling the coast road along the Burren in Co. Clare, be sure to stop at O'Donohue's in Fanore. Pat will make you feel very welcome, you'll find great food, including the best fish and chips in the land, scrumptious seafood chowder with homemade brown bread and delicious irish stew. And if you like your whiskeys, you'll think you've died and gone to heaven, as they have over 100 to choose from. Plus great ocean views from the picnic tables outside.
