“Clean with great service from owners”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Sleeps 8 persons in 4 bed rooms but worth remembering that this is in 4 double beds which is fine if couples or don't mind sharing. House is very easy to find and has everything you will need from washing machine, dishwasher etc.. It has a rustic cottage feel to it but it was the owners who made all the difference as they had a wealth of local knowledge and with a text or call would be there if you need anything. Some great walks of the Burren, one at the back of house and another at the end of the road. Kids saw fox, rabbits, llama's, alpaca's, horses and the usual cows! so plenty of excitement. Would walk to the fab beach(keep your key out for the jelly fish) through the caravan park across the road otherwise if sun is shining can be a nightmare to fine parking at the main entrance. but definitely need a car for pubs and restaurant. O'Donoghue's pub down the road has great staff, fish was really good and kids loved the home-made pizza. Great few days and would have no problem returning to these cottages or Fanore again.

“perfect house in the heart of the Burren”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012 for a stay in August 2011

The 4 bedroom house was excellent for our 2 families. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed - dishwasher yeah! Directly from the house we could start a wonderful hiking tour over the burren with brilliant view to the seaside (as we could see from the house as well). In walking distance (if you like walking more than 50 meters *smile*) we had beach and even a pub. The house is a real good place to explore the Burren, visit the cliffs (what have they done to the cliffs :( ) and enjoy food an music in Doolin.

“Peaceful relaxation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We had a wonderful week in Fanore. The cottages are well appointed and the views over the sea to the islands are fabulous. As with lots of locations in Ireland the weather does play a huge part in the overall enjoyment of the holiday and we were quiet lucky with lots of opportunities to get out and about. The walk through the field up the hill behind the house was a great favourite with the children. They loved that freedom which kids dont have much of these days. They spent hours playing in the river/stream at the bottom of the hill. The house was spacious and had everything we needed.
Mountain View horse riding a must. Peter, the owner, is a fantastic host and will show you all the sites.
Vasco restaurant is definitely a find. It has great local produce, well presented and we love that they dont do kids menu!! The Italian in Ballyvaughan is quite good also. Staff are very pleasant in both.
The beach is beautiful but Lahinch is definitely better for surfing.
We will definitely be returning.

“Relaxing and peaceful destination, perfect location and well equiped”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012 for a stay in June 2010

This was one of the most relaxing and memorable holidays we have taken with the kids. The cottage is ideally located in a peaceful and safe environment. Kids loved the freedom of all the land outside to explore. The beach is a 2 minute drive away. The kitchen is well equipped and the cottage is very comfortable. The garden has fantastic views of the Burren. Great place to rent with friends as the cottages are just 3 in number in a small private location. The Owners were very warm and welcoming and always available for any local queries. It was a more personal experience renting directly from the owners than through an agency. Highly recommend and we will definitely rent this cottage again.

“An oasis of calm in the heart of the Burren with nearby blue flag Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012 for a stay in August 2011

This is a beautiful cottage nestled in the heart of the Burren with mountains out the back and view across Galway bay to front. Plenty of space to run around makes it great location for kids. The nearby Fanore beach is very clean and has lifeguard on duty throughout the summer. The Aran Islands can be accessed from nearby Doolin. Inisheer only 30mins. Eating out in Doolin (OConnors and Fitzpatricks Hotel) and Ballyvaughan (Logues) recommended.

Suitable for families and those wanted to relax and unwind, catch up on their reading or explore the flora and fauna of the amazing Burren. Surf school is available on nearby beach. Public transport is limited so car required.

“Fantastic scenery, great walks, accessible country side.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012 for a stay in August 2011

We had a wonderful week in Fanore, walking, cycling, touring and immersing ourselves in the Burren. On fine days it was down to the beach, in addition there were great walks back up behind the cottage. The Burren countryside is magnificant, beside the sea with great panoramic views of the Aran Island and Galway Bay. The kids loved walking through the fields just looking at the horses and cows and taking in the fantastic views. All in all a wonderful sensous experience
