“Good Accommodation at last”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

Chipata the border town with Malawi has at last achieved a state of the class accomodation in the name of Protea Chipata. For years Chipata did not have a good Regional Class Accomodation in form of a III Star Hotel that is built on an elegant site facing the road with a very good hilly background

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2011

New hotel, airy, nicely designed. Staff very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant onsite was good and reasonably priced. The free wifi operated better than I experienced in Lusaka. Not very busy when I was there but that's sure to change.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2011

After the long dusty road from Lusaka or Lilongwe this hotel is a perfect stop over . . A brand new Protea hotel with decent size pool, comfortable rooms and free wifi, the somewhat stark appearance is sure to mellow once the gardens and landscaping start to take root . . Well priced and the meals were good too . .
