“A great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

What a great b&b - comfortable bed, nice decor, very helpful proprioter (found us a very interesting taxi!) and possibly the best hotel/b&b breakfast I've ever had...and served in bed too - brilliant. Recommend to anyone.

A wonderful place to stay! The always cheerful Joanne welcomed and looked after us with such warmth. The rooms are spotless, great hot showers and most excellent breakfasts. There is good parking right next to the rooms so no having to cart luggage any distance. Over Kellet is a lovely little village set in a great spot to explore the Lake District, Kirkby Lonsdale and beyond. Thank you again and we will certainly be back to see you all again.

The perfect place to stay if you want to explore this part of the world. Joanne runs a very organised little business in a lovely location. She is very accommodating and nothing seems to be a problem. From the warm welcome to the breakfast of your choice, you can't fail to be impressed with the high standard of everything. The room was quiet, immaculate, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the court yard with all its interesting paraphernalia.
We just wished we had had a little longer to enjoy another night.

Very friendly hosts and excellent accommodation in a very quiet location. The small fridge for each room is a great idea. Joanne was very helpful with information about local sites and attractions including places to eat. A lovely quiet village with superb views but the highlight for me was the breakfast. Very well presented and delivered to the room, but whatever you do, don't forget the pancakes. Joanne's son made up the most delicious american style pancakes and my only regret is that I only asked for one. Next time I'll know better. A return visit is a definitely on the cards.

Room Tip: Only two rooms but both were of a very high standard and quality.

It feels like visiting friends when we come here. There's always a warm welcome, beautiful rooms which are spotlessly clean and an amazing breakfast tray. Probably the best B&B in England.

Room Tip: Both rooms are great: I prefer the red one because I'm a red sort of person

Joanne makes your stay a refined pleasure. Rooms are new, very seductive and fitted to a high standard . A variety breakfast is offered and for hearty appetites in the morning you will not be disappointed, warm rolls, fresh filter coffee etc etc. No bath but shower is very modern and bathroom high standard. A 5 star service without doubt all round for high class B and B in a cosy moorland village setting. We only stopped off for an overnight but would return if we ever tour this area as the scenery is fabulous.

Stayed in April for my birthday with my wife, diving at Capernwray just up the road. Had a lovely time, Joanne went to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Accommodation is very clean & fresh and off road parking is good if you have a car full of dive kit. Breakfast was lovely, even had some wrapped to feed the fish. Nice quiet little place to relax after a days diving, would recommend and would return.
