“Lovely Indian cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Brilliant meal and the service was really good. The restaurant owner is a lovely man and always make you feel welcome. They had a tribute night tonight and a live singer. Food was absolutely brilliant and tasty, one of the best Indian meals you can hope to get locally. Have been serving good food for as long as I can remember, well worth a visit.

“Definitely worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I thought we'd try this restaurant as it won the Curry Award 2013 in Bexley. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was the best Indian food I've tasted in years. Cooked to perfection. I could not fault it. Definitely one to recommend.

“Never again, sorry!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

Last week because of the snow we decided to walk to the Oval and have a meal at this restaurant as we had heard it was a good curry.
Well I am sorry to say it was probably one of the worst evenings and dinner we have had in a very long time.
The staff were very busy with taking orders over the phone to actually take our order, so we waited quite a bit. When they did finally take our order it took ages as they couldn't use the iPad correctly and had to keep going back to the main desk to check it went through - not a start, but we persisted. The Food - we both shared two starters, tikka and their special lamb chop with spicy salsa. The tikka's were ok but the lamb chop tasted of cooking oil and was extremely tough to eat. We then had a Tikka Jalfrazie and a Lamb dish recommended by the waiter, again, both very salty and no taste except of pepper in the Jalfrazie and burnt onions in the curry. During our meal the table next door sent back a dish of tandoori king prawns due to them being over cooked - more like burnt to a crisp and the second dish wasn't much better. We are struggling to see why people go here, the service was poor and the food not any better.

We paid the bill (which was £64 excl service) and was glad to leave. I wasn't very well that evening and put it down to the lamb chop starter - will definately not be going back.
