Where do I start with for the review ... cos there are so many things to write about Sithara.
To start, the place, it is located in the outskirts of Virajpet (around 500 m) and in a beautiful small hill.
I just love the SITHARA homestay. Everything about the place is so beautiful and fantastic that it calls you back. Me and my wife often visti Sithara probably once every two months or so .. and i do not think it will stop.
The rooms are just amazing, very well designed and very very comfortable with loads of space. I Love the sit out and especially the dining area on the top. Its just mind blowing and so beautiful where you can see the sunset and the mountains as well as the virajpet town.
Add to that the cleanliness and how it is maintained. Its very cleanly maintained and well organised.
I guess more than all these options, its the hosts (Pattu and Sundari) that to us make this place so special and joyful. We never feel we are away from home as that is the kind of treatment we get from Pattu and Sundari and we just love that and enjoy it.
Sithara to me is not just run cos for a homestay sake, it has wonderful values behind in the making by pattu and sundari that is visible for everybody who visits there. I have travlled quite a bit around the world, easily this is the best one.
Food is just fantastic, simple amazing. We have been to Sithara probably around more then 20 times and never have felt boring with the food. That is the quality, and options of food prepared by SUNDARI. We just love the food here, difficult to pick a fav as all the dishes are amazing but to me 'The coorg stype pandi curry' , 'Pork short eat' , 'spicy cucumber salad', 'gobi fry with eggs' stand out the fav here. Veggies or Non-veg lovers both will have super options and just AMAZING FOOD. In fact many of my vegetarian friends and relatives who have been there with me tell me that they have never tasted such good veg dishes.
Many of my friends and relatives who have come along once have visited this place again !!!! Once you go there ..it just calls you back .....
Me currently in Germany and just waiting to get back to Sithara ... missing Pattu and Sundari ..:(
A must visit place in coorg which will make the rest of the tour take the backstage :).
Thank you Pattu and Sundari for all the services provided. We appreciate it.
