“Dirty, noisy and very plain”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

The general appearance is not bad, especially the patio and the corridors but the rooms are quite old and not well refurbished, the noise from the bars outside in the street are very loud and go on until late and the bed-linen were spotted and mucky.

The good: Excellent location. Lovely center courtyard. Good-sized rooms. Friendly and helpful desk and room personnel. A/C works fine, and hot water is always on. TV and WiFi are part of the deal, although WiFi is only available in and around the courtyard. When I talked to the manager about that, I ended up recommending a more powerful transmitter. A mini-mart is just a few steps away. Immediately around the corner, opposite the hotel there is a sort of Subway copy. At the end of the central square, across from the Maya architecture museum, you will find an all-you-can-eat buffet. The desk will tell you about a laundry place, 15 Peso per kg. Drop off at around 8 am and pick up by 4:30 the same day.
Street-side rooms can get noisy, but on the other hand, you'll have a balcony and street view. Unfortunately, breakfast is not included, but a very nice breakfast will be prepared, if you like, in the courtyard.

This hotel is very well located in the middle of the colonial city of Campeche. we were there during Carnival, for four nights. On reading the other reviews, and glimpsing into some of the other rooms, I think we had one of the nicer rooms. It was the best I have ever seen in the price range ($40). Tastefully furnished and decorated, a flat screen TV with large doors opening onto a balcony overlooking a pedestrian street. The room was spotless. It was on the first floor and internally opened onto the inner courtyard which had common areas to relax. Wifi was available in these common areas but not in the room. It was great to be able to step outside the door and have close access to a number of restaurants, and very close to the Carnival parades! The only downside was the on street parking but we really had no problem even during busy Carnival time. Great hotel!

Room Tip: We had room 111..it was great!

The hotel location couldn't be more central as this one, but other than that there was nothing exciting about our stay here. There is no wifi service in rooms. Breakfast has to be paid for even if the brochure on the hotel reception desk says otherwise. To us, this hotel felt more like a business than a leisure hotel. Rooms are dull and old, and the air conditioning system was very noisy. Rooms are in need a revamp.

The rooms are not special, but clean, spacious and comfortable. From the hotel it is not even a five minutes walk to the seafront where you can have a nice run in the morning or evening.
The location is perfect to explore the city of Campeche and to have a nice stroll around the evening on the way to a restaurant and back.
There are several good restaurants and cafes around.
The parking is a 4 blocks away and depending where you park your car to unload the lugage it can be a bit tricky to find the parking. The walk from the parking to the hotel is about 3 mins.
I can reommened the hotel as a good option in Campeche.

I only stayed one night, but this seemed like a great option in Campeche. Helpful staff, nice rooms in a great old colonial mansion/hotel, and the location is right in the heart of centro, a block or two from the main plaza. I wish I had scheduled more time in Campeche, it is a really beautiful town. Next time (if I'm lucky)!

I had a wonderful stay here for four nights. Rooms were clean, large and well appointed. It had 2 double beds and a balcony overlooking a quiet street. Breakfast was included and keep an eye on their website promotions in the off season (on the Spanish page) as I got 50 percent off a weekend (Saturday, Sunday) stay which really made it worthwhile. Also there are computers in the lobby and free bottled water in the rooms.
