My wife and I recently stayed here for a long weekend in Campeche. The hotel is a transformed Colonial home and has retained the charm and look of the period, down to the furniture and accessories. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful--and speak good English, if that is important to you. We only had breakfast in the hotel, but it was very good. A couple of evenings they were hosting a mescal tasting, which we did not attend but heard good things about. If you are planning to spend your time in the historic center, the location is great, for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping and access to tours. Normal rates are a bit pricey for Mexico. We were able to take advantage of a special offer, so check ahead if you can.
