“A place of haven”

We loved staying at Seashore B&B in Mahia Beach. The owners Marie and John gave us a real warm welcome in there lovely home, like in a family. The room is very pretty with a wonderful bathroom. We had some really good experiences like collecting crayfish and having them for dinner. A marvelous view over the sea with a fantastic sunset. And in the morning a huge and delicious breakfast.
The Seashore B&B is a place to stay we really recommend it. We missing it.

Just had a relaxing two night stay at this stunning B&B overlooking beautiful Taylor's Bay. Marie and John are lovely, warm hosts who make you feel welcome and are attentive without being intrusive. My ensuite room was very comfortable and bed luxurious. Breakfast was generous and my crayfish dinner delicious. I enjoyed the little extras provided by Marie and was invited to go out and check the crayfish pots with John. The bay is wonderful for swimming and I would love to stay again one day.

I stayed 3 nights in the room with ensuite. Idyllic spot, magical views of the bay, and close to places like Morere hot springs and the Mahia scenic reserve. Breakfast was a delight. If you're going to Mahia, this is absolutely the place to stay.

Its like staying with your Auntie and Uncle (the ones you like). Just about to eat fresh snapper. Caught by me straight in front of the house & cooked by Auntie Marie... fantastic. There's something special about the bed sheets. I have to go now because our flat whites are ready. Hahaha...oh thanks for the take away crayfish too Uncle.

Highly recommend this fantastic B&B! Beachfront property with amazing views of a beautifully secluded beach... stunning sunsets. Super friendly hosts, Marie and John truly went out of their way to make our holiday memorable.
Delicious breakfasts including freshly made barista coffee, great size room, attention to detail in every aspect!

Room Tip: West side room with direct access to courtyard and beachfront is perfect

Amazing seaside bed and breakfast, cannot think of a single thing we would have changed. The location and views are stunning with the water only being a few feet away. John and Marie are fantastic hosts and exceptionally friendly. The B&B has been purpose built so the layout is great if you want to talk to other guests and John and Marie, or whether you just want privacy. John took us out on his boat to check the crayfish pots and if you play your cards right, you might even get a crayfish for dinner (just don't ask for the tomato sauce!). The breakfasts are first class as well. Recommend taking out the kayaks and also the hill climb and 2 hour bush walk.

I stumbled upon this lovely B&B while traveling solo and what a score. Came for one night and had to stay two. The accommodation is impeccable. The views stunning. The hosts, John and Marie make you feel like welcome family at the Holidays! I went out to check the crayfish traps in the am with John, had a lovely breakfast waiting upon return from Marie. Kayaked and hiked in the afternoon, ate luscious crayfish and took in a gorgeous sunset. I will definitely come back here with my husband…it's not right to not share…or to not do this all over again!

Room Tip: I took the sunny sea view just because!
