Very nice beach with reasonably priced parking at the bottom of the hill which can get full quickly. Another car park at the top of the hill was good but the walk back with equipment is very hard; better for one person to go and fetch the car and load up at the bottom, not good if you are not very fit. Very good surf shops, surf lessons, beach barbeque is the late afternoon in the cafe veranda. Drinks and food available at the side of the beach. Some nice shops plus the lifeboat station to look at along the road at te side of the beach. Quite crowded when the tide was in. Good lifeguard coverage, we counted about 6 or 8 lifeguards and a purpose built station up the hill slightly for a good view. Good waves. Would go again.
