“A good spot to start LeJog from”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Very welcoming, helpful and friendly are the hosts of Sunnybank House. They are used to cyclists, like us, so bicycle storage was good. A slightly early breakfast wasn't a problem. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We did however have to share bathroom facilities, which is never ideal. This is Cornwall so I guess the price is a reflection.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have en suite

This was my second stay at SunnyBank House and was just as enjoyable experience as the first! Eleni and Bernard Durrant are the perfect proprietors! Extremely warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble! The house and rooms are immaculate, the food is wholesome and plentiful and served with a smile!! I personally would not stay anywhere else in the south west of Cornwall and definitely will be returning! The location allows access to all kinds of activities suitable to most types of interest. Cannot praise SunnyBanks enough!!!

Room Tip: All rooms have good aspects!

Spent two nights at Sunnybank, after booking late and truly struggling for an availableB&B in this area over the bank holiday, but was very lucky that Eleni had rooms for us. Especially as the rooms here and people are as nice as they are!
Eleni and her family are extremely welcoming and very helpful, showing a true interest in making sure you enjoy your stay.
Rooms are clean and decent looking, in nice contemporary style. Breakfast is also very nice and plentiful!
Would recommend a stay here, and would definitely look at returning, maybe for a surf lesson or two in the nearby stunning Sennen Cove.
Also worth a visit is for a show at the Minack Theatre, carved from the cliff face and very close by, which is why we had planned our visit to this area.

I stayed here for 5 nights and found it perfect. The room was comfortable with great views and very clean. Breakfast choice was good. It is in a good location for walks and not far from the beach. The owner goes out of her way to help and made our stay very enjoyable. Will definately be returning.

Couldn't have wished for better. Big lock-up shed for our bikes ( five of us) ; fantastic memorable views to the north and west; excellent generous breakfast. And there IS a pub that does food (with good seafood dishes) just 70 metres up the road from the B&B .

Stayed here the night before epic end to end ride. Clean and comfortable with a nice secure purpose built shed for bikes. Excellent breakfast and a quick ten minute warm up down to Land's End for the start of LeJog. Not all of the 10 B&Bs we stayed in during the course of our trip were as good as this, believe me. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here before the first night of a LEJOG. Lovely place run by a super-helpful couple. Rooms were perfect and breakfast good.

Only possible downside is the 15 minute walk down (and therefore back up for the return journey!) to Sennen village. This is either a pleasant walk after/before dinner, or leaves you a bit isolated, depending on your viewpoint.....
