“Amazing experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

Loved this place so much, I would definitely return in the future if possible. It's quite a hike out but most tour packages would include transport there and back from Nairobi. Beautiful national park with a mouthwatering combination of marshes, savannah plains and Mt Kilimanjaro almost always in the background. The Lodge itself is truly luxurious with 5-star level room and board (three meals are included BUT NOT DRINKS - consider that for your budget prior to arrival). Monkeys and baboons abound within the compound itself and wild African buffalo just outside the electric fence surrounding the perimeter, so much so that a monkey actually got into my room one morning! Just be aware not to feed them and to keep your room doors closed at all times.

We stayed here for two nights. A wonderful hotel and the location is amazing. It's within Amboseli park, surrounded by electric fence. We stayed in the elephant wing rooms, where you can see the elephants from your room. In the evening some elephants were just out side the fence, amazing!!

Food was great and the service was excellent. Room was very nice and the bathroom was very clean. We very much enjoyed our stay.

If you want to see loads and loads of elephants, Amboseli park is the place to be.

Room Tip: Opt for elephant wing room. You may not be able to see the Mount Kilimanjaro if it's a cloudy da...

Stayed here for 3 nights in June, 2014. Exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable room and bath. Great African decor throughout. Good food. Celebrated my birthday there and the celebration dance and singing from the staff made it memorable.

The ideal place to rest and recuperate after a long journey and before starting a six day walk, camping overnight through Maasai Land. Great views, great service, comfortable rooms - the perfect place to unwind and prepare for a challenge. Great game drive with plenty to see. Would go back time and again!

Excellent accommodation & the best location in Amboseli to view mount Kilimanjaro, you can also enjoy wildlife across the fence as you relax outside your room, Elephants and other wild game are worth the tour with the observation hill crowning it all..!

Stayed here for one night on the first stop of our safari.
When you reach here, after a long drive, the decor and ambience of the place will make you feel like your ready to explore.
Amboseli is famous for its elephants and you're virtually guaranteed to see them here. It's amazing to wake up and have breakfast whilst overlooking wild elephants grazing just outside the lodge perimeter. Plenty of other animals here too of course, and you will be warned about the monkeys, who will take every opportunity to help themselves to anything on offer!
A fantastic place, only wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel is situated deep into the Amboseli National Park with a great view of Mt Kilimanjaro in the morning and evening when the clouds don't obstruct the summit. This park has many animal species from the Big Five to grazers, birds, apes and many more.

The Hotel has great facilities and staff. The service is great though you sense a feeling of struggle when full. The hotel grounds are cool, great lawns and shade from Acacia trees. The breeze from the Mountain is a good AC against the sweltering Park Temperatures
