“A peaceful escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2011

This stay was our second visit to Milton Country Cottages and we recommend it for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Comfortable self catering accommodation with friendly and hospitable owners and generous breakfast basket provided. A short drive to Milton and beaches on South Coast. Recommended.

Just a short drive from Milton and Lake Conjola. The stay was great with a stove fire, full kitchen and great shower and two person spa. The stay comes with a breakfast hamper which has bread, yoghurt, eggs, cereal, milk etc. Everything you need for breakfast. The cottages are surrounded by forest, making it a very peaceful and secluded getaway.

The only bad point I can find is that the blind is a little thin and it was very bright in the morning.

Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! Our family of 4 had the 2-bedroom cottage. It was huge! On arrival, we also got to see kangaroos hanging around in the backyard. The hostess was extremely friendly, and gave us a tour of the place. Alongside the cottage was a separate outbuilding with a large jacuzzi tub, in a spa-like setting. We also got a breakfast hamper, which was well-stocked with breads, eggs, bacon, jams, hot chocolate, preserves, tea and coffee.

In the living room, with the TV, DVD player, there was also a wood-burning stove for heating. To take the chill off at night, there were electric blankets on the beds, which was nice because there weren't any heaters in the bedrooms. I don't believe there were any electric blankets on the twin beds, but there were extra blankets in the closets.

In addition to the kitchen, there was a BBQ area outside and a patio with seating.

It may be difficult to spot the turn off to this place, so keep your eyes open for the small sign marking it, or program it into your GPS. No internet available.

Make sure you stop by the Pottery Studio, where you will see some lovely pottery pieces for sale, at very reasonable prices. The pottery pieces you see in your cottage are also for sale.

This is a fantastic getaway for anyone wanting to escape the rat race for a little bit & enjoy the company of the people they go with. It's completely off the main road, so no noise at all apart from the birds & other wildlife. The breakfast hamper if filled with gourmet goodies that made the perfect wakeup. The small touches (such as a bottle of port in the room & a complete DVD collection for guests) made it a completely perfect, relaxing stay. Would definitely go back with family and/or friends.
