Everything you could want for peace & relaxation is here.
Fantastic meals at Darcy's Restaurant, attentive staff, great host & cutest little dog "Tia" all make for a great trip to beautiful Lovina.
In house massage & beauty treatments are a must have.
Clean, spacious rooms with all the comforts of home.
I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We only stayed in Dolphin Beach for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated. The pool looks over the beach and was very picturesque. The only complaint we had was we choose a full "Aussie" breakfast but just got fried eggs with toast. We thought maybe they didnt have the bacon, sausages, etc but then the people beside us get a full breakfast half an hour later. However its a small complaint and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Beach front rooms have a lovely view

We really enjoyed staying here. The room was outstanding and simple (Penthouse #1). Loved the giant tub and the view from bed (looking out over the beach).

The beach was soft and quiet. Only a few people trying to sell you junk. We snorkeled from a little boat 500m in front of hotel, nothing spectacular, but clear water and lots of fish ($6).

The only bad item was the road traffic could be heard in the room. It wasn't enough to keep you awake, but slightly annoying.

Rent a motor bike and head up into the hills to see the real Bali ($4). Nice people!

Room Tip: Ask for a Penthouse. It's worth it!

The apartment is luxurious and spacious (penthouse 1). We had a wonderful time and the kids loved to watch one of the many DVD films that are available.
The food in the restaurant is not the cheapest around, but it is quite good. The staff is lovely and always ready to help out.
The owner is a great guy who gives you the feeling like you are a relative visiting instead of a complete stranger.
We will definitely come back and do some more snorkling near the hotel reef.

Stayed two nights at Dolphin Beach apartments in Penthouse 2 (on upper floor). We stayed in 3 hotels during our 10 day stay in Bali (Nusa Dua, Lovina, Ubud) and this was our favorite. Next time we will skip south Bali altogether and just come here - its the perfect place for romantic, relaxing holiday and a great spot to stay if you want to go snorkeling/diving in Menjanjan or Tulamben. Don't think twice - book this place! Its wonderful!

Hotel grounds & Pool - The gardens are well kept and clean. The pool, although small, is nice and deep and has some seating areas.

View - The sunrise and sunset view is spectacular! I would come back just for the view alone.

Room - Penthouse 2 - It was really spacious with full size kitchen, living room with L-shaped sofa, flat screen TV and small dining table. Bedroom was large as well with comfortable kingsize bed and bathroom had huge tub. The patio was spacious with a round table and umbrella. Great place to sit and watch the sunrise and sunset.

Amenties - The hotel provided a local mobile phone to use during your stay. This was a nice touch. They also had a good selection of DVDs in the room and also at the reception that you could borrow. Large bottle of water, tea, cappucino mix (yummy) and milk is complimentary. For one evening, we asked the hotel reception if they could drive us to central Lovina (about 5 minutes drive) for dinner - they were very nice to give us a ride and also pick us up after dinner (before 9pm).

Breakfast - A choice of western or indonesian breakfast (fried rice or noodles) that was freshly prepared and served hot. Both came with fruit plates, coffee/tea and fresh fruit juice (the banana/pineapple combination was delicious).

Beach - the beach is flat and calm with the surf out about a few hundred meters. In the evenings it is low tide and you can walk out really far - the water only comes to your knees. To go snorkelling you have to get a boat to take you out - because although its shallow its quite far to walk or swim before you get to the coral. During the morning it is high tide and the water comes close to the apartment steps.

Restaurant - we only had fries and a lumpia snack - it was fine. Next door to the hotel (on the left if you are facing the water) is an Indonesian restaurant serving seafood - they don't have a big selection - fish, squid, shrimp, chicken, vegetables but its fresh and cheap. Rp 30,000 for grilled fish (ikan bakar) and you can choose the fish. The hotel next door also has a restaurant.

Service - The service is friendly and prompt. We met Agung, the father of the owner (Australian) and he was very helpful in answering our emails about the dolphin tour and providing recommendations for diving/snorkelling and also suggestions for Lovina drivers. We did book the dolphin tour through the hotel and it was great (standard price is Rp 60000 per person and the boat picks you up at 6am on the beach). We also booked a Menjanjan introductory dive through spice dive shop that was recommended by Agung - the dive was Euro 60 per person (including pickup/dropoff, lunch and drinks, and dive and snorkeling equipment).

Spa - we didn't have time to try but they had a spa/massage menu and the prices were reasonable.

Room Tip: Penthouse 1 or 2 in the upper floor.

This was one of our favorite places we stayed in Bali. It was the only place along the northern coast we stayed...and it was amazing! For our first 2 nights we stayed in a ground level apartment overlooking a small garden. The 3rd and final night we stayed in the 2nd level Sea View apartment with a beach balcony. We did this to save some money, and both rooms were great!!!

The Sea View apartment was giant! We had a kitchen with a full fridge, stove, sink and countertop. There was a dining area and a big open living room. We had surround sound, a flat screen TV, a DVD player with a complimentary stack of DVDs, a deck with an umbrella table and chairs, a separate master bedroom with a king size bed, and a sizeable bathroom.

We noticed in the outdoor lobby area pictures of American celebrities that have stayed here! That was cool! There was a bar, eating area and a pool table. The pool was about 10 meters from the beach, and it was a good size for them only having 5 apartments.

The food (both Indonesian and not) was awesome, and it was easy to book a tour and driver there. It was a nice spot to act honeymooney! We arranged with the security guard a 6am morning boat tour to see the dolphins and snorkel. It was wonderful and romantic. It was only me, my wife and the boatman...awesome. The dolphins were very lively and it was an amazing thing to see! The snorkeling was also top notch. You get flippers, goggles and the snorkel. The water is a beautiful clear green and you can see amazing creatures 10-20 meters down. It was so fun!!! Best of all we were back in time for the delicious Australian (like the American) breakfast, which was included!

This place was great and I strongly recommend it!

Room Tip: We stayed in both a ground level Garden View and a Sea View apartment. Both were giant, comfortable...
