Laspuna is a very small village with little to no service but only a 10 minute drive to the main town of Ainsa. It would also be possible to walk to the next town of Escalona but down and up a very steep hill. We enjoyed our stay in Laspuna as we could mountain bike and enjoy gorgeous views of the Pyrenees. The access to hiking trails is excellent. The owner/manager is helpful, attentive, and responsive. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment - newer furniture, modern, comfortable, and clean. The hot tub is solar heated, so it did not get very hot our entire week there (even on very sunny days). On our last night, a neighbor's dog barked non-stop so bring ear plugs... Otherwise, a very quiet and peaceful place. It was essential to have a kitchen as we noticed that the restaurants and shops in this region keep inconsistent hours/different from posted hours (off season hours???). There is a large supermarket in Boltana and a great cheese and wine specialty shop in Ainsa. The adventure shop in Escalona is the best place to book trips and arrange for rentals. The agency in Ainsa wasted a lot of our time with poor equipment and terrible service.
