“Needs to be updated badly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

Stayed here 10 years ago and I swear that nothing has been changed or much updated (with the exception of a very small flat screen tv). The rooms are shabby for lack of a better word. The room which we were originally offered had not been cleaned by 530, and the room they gave us was dark and dreary, so we waited for them to clean the original room. The pool and the public areas are very nice, and the location is ideal if one wants to explore La Parguera. The front desk tries to be helpful, but with rooms that looked like they were stuck in time, there is not a lot that they can do.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony and a view - it takes away from the dreary view.

This hotel has many rooms and has a different style than the normal hotels would in the United States. It is not a motel, but not necessarily a hotel either. The hotel is made to be more like a motel because of the such open layout. There is much to do here, and the hotel is at the water. There is a nice courtyard at the center of the grounds outside, there is a pool with a nice sitting area, there is an "okay" lobby," and a dining room. There were some problems that I had with the room, but it was mostly because the grounds are so old and the hotel has obviously not been updated in a long time. Despite the setbacks with the rooms, the views from them are breathtaking.

Room Tip: Get a room with a private balcony

I have made this my destination hotel for many years when on the Southern coast of Puerto Rico. I am an artist and have found this to be one of the most picturesque settings of the quiet waters of the Caribbean Sea. Combine the views with a nice little restaurant and a lively night life just down the street and what more could you like? One block away on the water is the jumping off docks for the nightly boat rides to the bioluminescence bay. It is a long drive from San Juan, but if this is your first time here, you will not be sorry for a night or two at this hotel on the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

Very quaint! The actually hand you a real key to your room. Next to a very busy, popular Saturday night destination for the locals. However, the noise did not travel to the hotel. Recommend Johnny's Boats for bioluminescent bay visit and snorkeling.

There package are good, but they should add the 3 meal daily no just 2. There saturday night show was great. Onces of the thing i didnt like was that the ice machine was in the restaurant and everytime you need ice you have to go in and ask for it.

Although this hotel is a bit rustic, the staff is friendly and the service is good. The hotel itself is a bit dated but it served it's purpose for providing a room for the evening during an one day dive trip to La Parguera.

The hotel can not be found using a GPS system, but the staff will offer you directions...which I found to be very reliable. It's good for a quick stay if your in and out.
