“Would not stay here again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

We were staying here for only 2 nights as we wanted to dive the wall and do the biobay. We didn't have high expectations as the price was about $115 per night for a non sea view room( they sold out of the sea view ones). We were there for diving, beaches and didn't need much luxury, in terms off nice furniture or bathtub. When we got to our room 219, we were shocked with the low standards of cleanliness, nasty carpet, dust, balcony sliding door was just filthy, black long hair on the towels( later we got better towels). My husband was very concerned for our safety here in terms of the whole building was pretty old wooden structure with no fire alarm and smoke detector in sight. We checked. The only way we would consider staying in this hotel again if we would get the sea view room, even then.... We ate the pre purchased breakfast twice and it was ok, scrambled eggs and pancakes and coffee, we had it twice and were getting sick of it quickly. We ate at the restaurant once and didn't want to make the same mistake again, not good and overpriced for what it was. The best thing about this hotel was the view of the bay with some islands in the distance. It needs some remodeling big time. Would try some other place next time.

As others keep saying, this is a quiet and relaxing place. If you are planning to stay in the area, this is the best place available. It has a great location, walking distance to all the bars and restaurants of the small village. I came for diving, which ended in disappointment as the dive boats would not go out due to weather issues,

Our room was a garden view located in back. It was a bit annoying to have to walk down and back the whole length of the hotel to the lobby and out the front to get to the parking lot which was really right behind our room. The grounds and pool are nice and the view to the harbor is excellent with nice chairs and places to sit outside. When taking in the whole scene, you cant help but think this was a really nice place years ago. It is all very dated now and kind of run down, but in a nice way. Service was very good. The breakfast at the restaurant was good, however the dinner was so so. The room itself was very dated, old tv and furniture, the water from the shower had very little water pressure and the place has not been updated since the 1960's (or so it looks). The bed was comfortable, and you are not paying a lot of money so I would still reccommend this place.

This town is ultra quiet during the week in April, and the hotel was mostly empty. This is a beautiful and relaxing place. we had room #102 which is ocean view and opens out to the lawn area; perfect. Everything is walking distance from here, park the car and leave it.
Staff were very friendly and helpful in setting up / contact dive shop.

Room Tip: 101 through 109 open right out to the lawn area.

Nice place, the people who works here make you feel comfortable. The show was excellent & the food too. Our room #208 was little but excellent for a couple. Good a/c, nice bathroom with warm water and in overall extra clean. The pool is nice too.

It was very nice to return to Parador Villa Parguera last summer and find that it still exists and that La Parguera itself has not changed much over the past 30 years. The location of this hotel was perfect, the grounds very well kept, the restaurant has great food, & the price was better than I expected it to be. Only within walking distance to many Parguera things to do, local food, & activities.

We spent 2 nights here last week. The staff was outstanding. The first room they gave us was on the second story with a great view, but after walking the grounds, we saw some rooms at ground level just steps from the water. We asked if we could have one of them and they did not even blink an eye to accommodate us.

The resort is directly on the water with a nice pool area. The rooms were clean and comfortable with good a/c and showers. It is a classic Parador that the Puerto Ricans flock to for their getaways and was a good value.

It is located in a quiet town that suddenly comes to life on weekends with area residents flocking to party on the plaza adjacent to the hotel. There is not much in the way of beaches here, but a short drive takes you to several and it is worthwhile to rent one of the little boats next door to explore the mangroves and do a self guided snorkeling and swimming trip.

Room Tip: We really liked rooms 120 through 123. They were right on the water with their own patio table and...

Stayed there 2 night so we could go to bioilluminescent bay /snorkel trip. Our room was very clean and had a nice ocean view. Sliding door led to patio with 2 chairs and table and very quiet to sit out in evenings. With the solar heaters on adjacent roofs it took forever to get warm water in shower. The pool seemed of adquate size unlike what others have said. Also ate at restuarant on premises for dinner once and service was terrrible as it took 2 hours to get thru dinner. My husband had to get up to ask for check - this was after 2 hours of sitting there. One waiter was running ragged while the other waiter and manager didn't do much.
