“Waited long time for poor food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Never done a review like this one - but felt compelled due to poor management response to bad food.
Got the starters wrong...no olives in a tomato and olive salad.
The house wine tasted watered down, went to the bar to ask what it was, and its boxed indonesian wine - which is fine, but it costs almost $7 a glass.
Ordered a vegetarian pizza with 7 different ingredients, received an undercooked pizza base with tomato paste, rubbery mushrooms and some cheese. Ordered a seafood platter (fish of teh day, calamari and prawns, with roasted potatoes and vegetables - no calamari, and the fish was overcooked, chips instead of roasted potatoes and salad instead of vegetables.
Explained the bad meal to the manager - best he could offer us was a free shot. Worst $55 we have ever spent.
Mains took over an hour to reach us as well.

“Totally Authentic Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

What treat to encounter an Italian restaurant in Indonesia owned and run by a charming Italian.
The food as you might expect is authentic and bearing in mind the excellent quality not too pricey.
The surroundings are very sophisticated, a modern architectural gem, with lots of excellent taste. The staff are very pleasant and the owner, a delightful personality.
I can't imagine there is a better Italian Restaurant on Lombok.

“Fantastic Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

What a treat this place is, quality Italian food cooked by Italian owners. A beautiful setting looking over the sea towards Bali served by fantastic staff. They even picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, that was out of senggigi! Thanks for an excellent Pizza in Lombok.

“Amazing location and a very wellcoming change!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

We ate at cafe alberto this evening. We were walking along the beach and spotted this wonderful restaurant. The waiters and the italian owner were extremely friendly and welcoming. We were sitting in the first row in the sand and loved it. Everybody who loves a good italian pasta or good fish dishes has to stop here! It is definitely a nice change from the indonesian cuisine. The waiter also showed us the rooftop of the 4-bedroom hotel which was also really beautiful.
