“Can improve”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

We ate here one night for dinner. The atmosphere, owner, and staff were awesome. The food on the other hand can improve. We started out with a cheese appetizer platter. The cheeses were very interesting, a lot of them were with some kind of fruit. There was a blueberry, grape, and some sort of apricot or along those lines and the forth was just a normal cheese. Maybe they should do a couple of normal cheeses and a couple of interesting ones. We brought our own bottle of wine, the corkage fee was $15 but the owner reduced the charge to $5 which was awesome. My husband got the steak and it was the worst steak he every had in his life and I agree with him. I got the pasta with vegetables and it was pasta with vegetables. There was suppose to be some kind of sauce on it but I never really found it. The side salad, bread and olives were awesome. It was kind of disappointing for the cost but if you do go ask the waitress or owner what they recommend. We spoke with the owner at the end and he knew the steak wasn't good and so did the waitress so be aware and ask before you order.

“Most flexible chef on the planet, great food and wine, friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

If we lived in Pine Mountain Club, we would visit this place every week. If you have unique dietary needs, the chef goes above and beyond to give you a wonderful meal that meets those guidelines. Our daughter and her family are vegan--not a problem. My husband wanted an item not normally served that day of the week, not a problem. Sandwiches with side salads at lunch were terrific. Healthy pours on the wine (which we really like). Good wine selection. A friendly and comfortable atmosphere with some really nice art on the walls. Loved having both lunch and dinner here. Breakfasts looked awesome, but we did not partake.
