Description: The Coppice at Lanner was bought by the Keltek Cornish Brewery in January 2013 and 12 months later it has been transformed. Fitting of new roofs, a complete programme of redecoration, a brand new cellar and numerous changes to the interior of the building including installation of wood burning fires and the addition of a 4 barrel real ale stillage at the main bar (with three extra hand pulls for even more real ales) mean that the pub can now offer up to 11 real ales and ciders at any one time. A new menu released in November 2013 has evolved the already high standard of cuisine with unique and interesting signature dishes including specialist grills, fish and ethnic dishes inspired from around the world. In recognition of "the good old days" of the 1960s the pub menu now also features generously portioned, traditional basket meals (but with a 21st century menu selection) which are a very cost effective way of feeding larger families on a budget. The brewery is about 5 minutes' drive away from the pub so no beer miles! The Coppice at Lanner has a very large family bar and a lounge bar (called George's Bar) as well as a separate sports bar with two pool tables and darts as well as BT Sport on a large screen. The pub is very family friendly with large gardens, open air kiddies' adventure playground, outside dining when weather permits and baby changing facilities with all the necessary accessories. Special events such as weddings, business meetings and birthday parties can be booked to make use of the ample facilities at The Coppice.

“Quality service & food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

Really nice atmosphere. Cheerful, friendly staff. Asked for glasses of squash for the children, kindly advised it would be more cost effective for us to have a few jugs of squash on the table. Timely service of meals, especially considering there were nine of us dining. Food was really plentiful and of very nice quality, we all left feeling fully relaxed and very satisfied.
The place was clean and nicely presented, also with a children's climbing/ play area outside. We will certainly be returning there again before the end of our holiday.

“Good food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

Recently visited here as we were on holiday and was staying nearby. On arrival we ordered drinks and chose a table to sit at for some dinner.Plenty to choose from and the pub section which had basket meals on had a very good selection. Staff were friendly but seemed a couple of them were newbies there and service was average which is expected. Enjoyed the food, reasonably priced.

“Bar management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2014

Just spent the afternoon here, Nothing wrong with the pub until they run out of Keel beer at 6.20pm and decide to clean the pipes. When the beer was back on the beer had gone up £1 a pint as it was past the 6.30 deadline. No wonder the management are leaving i dont blame them and Stuart dont say this is necessary as if Wetherspoons did this they would be cleaning the pipes every hour. Such a shame of our local village pub.

“Great family pub. Great local ales and ciders.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

A great relaxing pint was had at the Coppice with a couple of other families recently. Tones of room for the kids to play on the large lawn and playground. Two bars, one much bigger and open, the other more snug with open fires in both. A pint of beer is £1,99. Will be back.
