“would stay here again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

I was the group leader for a group of 18 divers from the United States. I was looking for a resort in Anilao that met the requirements of the group and picked Eagle Point. During my research I read many reviews on the resort. Some good some not so good but the resort had the amenities that I needed for my group so I booked the trip. There were 18 of us in the group. A large group of people. All divers. Many different types of travelers. As always when booking a trip for this many people, a group leader does their best to accomodate everyone. Not always an easy task. When we arrived at the airport at Manila our vans were waiting for us. We loaded up and off we went. We arrived at the resort and were quickly checked in. The rooms were satisfactory. The aircon worked in all of the rooms and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were all clean and we had no issues. One room had a little bit of an ant problem but this was quickly remedied with a call to maintenance. The customer service was excellent. Daisy the reservation Manager met me at the resort to make sure that everything was satisfactory. She went out of her way to make sure that our needs were taken care of. Because we had a group package and our meals were all inclusive, we had the package that included 3 buffet meals a day. The food was very good. Hot, fresh and plentiful. The service at meal time was outstanding. Once the wait staff found out what we liked, being ice tea, coffee, etc. they made sure that we were serviced quickly and with a smile through out our 12 day stay. The diving was amazing and the dive operation was top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend Eagle Point for dive groups. I find it surprising to read reports that are less than positive about Eagle Point. I travel with groups all over the world and would be happy to go back to this resort again.

Room Tip: main floor in the hotel building. Best location on the resort if you are a diver.

We went here just this weekend for our anniversary & stayed at the Terrace Hotel. For us, the resort's main come on was snorkeling, but my husband who arranged the trip was very pleased with the efficient coordination between the Makati office and the Batangas resort. When we arrived, they already knew that we were to be picked up at the parking area and ferried to the resort. At the resort, our boat to Sepoc Beach which my husband arranged beforehand was already there waiting for us. The resort staff was very professional, except for some of the male servers who were not very keen on receiving and delivering requests. The highlight of the trip for me was going to Sepoc Beach. Definitely a must try. The boat ride to Sepoc Beach was a bit too expensive though at Php2K (plus taxes) for just two persons. Perhaps Php1.2K nett would have been more reasonable. We had our fill of snorkeling both at Sepoc and at the house reef. I would have rated the resort higher except that the resort is already quite old, so a renovation may be in order. It could use new bed sheets (ours had some stains), pillows (hot pink is not a great color for the booster pillows), towels, etc. Also, the food was entirely too expensive, there were not a lot of choices & the taste was just so so.

We have just had a post-business short break at Eagle Point Resort. We stayed for 3 nights and did two days of diving including a refresher course (it had been a while). The dive instructor Lito was very good at reminding us what we needed to know and we were soon back under the water enjoying the tropical fish.

The diving is good but not stunning. There are plenty of tropical fish but there are also quite a few other divers around and a bit of rubbish which floats into the bay so it is not utterly pristine. The diving service at Eagle POint is good though - they will give you a dive guide and a small boat and take you out to the dive spots dotted around. You can go and sit on Sepoc Beach between some dives and enjoy the white sand beach (which you don't get at the resort itself). We also saw porpoise on our boat trip and the resident turtle on the home reef.

The resort is nice and has character. The rooms in the hotel part were fine, clean, nice balcony overlooking the sea and had enough room. The rooms do not have tea or coffee making facilities which is a pity because it would be lovely to be able to make a cup of tea and sit on balcony to enjoy the view. The water pressure was ok but not great.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and never had to be asked twice for something. The main lodge where the dining room is, is nice and has character. If you are looking for a slick modern resort, this is not for you. It definitely is for people who like something a bit more low key. But the dining room is lovely with tables set up along a row of open windows looking out over the bay, with the breeze floating in. There is lots of wood and bamboo and it feels comfortable. As I said, it's not slick but it is definitely clean and well cared for and is a great atmosphere.

The food is good, not amazing, but good and reasonably priced. There is really nowhere else to go to eat unless you walk the steep hill back to the road and then go to the nearest village.

There is no beach at the resort but they can take you to nearby Sepoc Beach by boat where they set up food and drink in the cabana and you can swim and snorkel. We only called in briefly between dives but it really is as good as the photos indicate (possible better) and would be a lovely place to while away an afternoon or two if you are into beach swimming and lounging about reading a book.

But the water and reef outside the hotel are lovely and so swimming and snorkelling right outside the hotel is good. My only comment is that they should send staff out to clean up rubbish that floats in from the bay more often. Each morning there would be a bit of rubbish in the water, not a lot but plastic bags and other litter. I'm sure it is not from Eagle Point but it does detract from the beauty of the place - why not send one or two of staff out just to clear it up for an hour each morning/ afternoon so people not swimming near it or seeing it?

All in all we had a great stay. We also used them to organise a driver from Nasugbu to the resort and then back again to Manila. The drivers were great and we got there safe and sound with no hassles.

Thanks Eagle Point - we enjoyed our stay and will recommend you to others.

Room Tip: PAy the extra for a balcony room overlooking the sea - it is a great way to wake up and you can slee...

I've been to this resort for 4 times already (January 2007, April 2007, February 2011, and February 2012). The experience you get is more than what you paid for. I love snorkeling and this resorts gives you nice pool, nice room, great food, island hopping, beach to swim, and beach to explore.

Beach - great for diving, snorkeling. water is clear.
Pool - kiddie pool, reef pool, adult pool. the only downside on my last visit was that their new adult pool is under renovation.
Rooms - hotel type
Restaurant - nice view
Sepoc Beach - great food, great white sand beach, short trekking but with great view.

Eagle Point is not your ordinary resort. If you are into sports or would want lots of activities to do, this is a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Choose the hotel room.

I stayed here with a dive group for 8 days. This resort has a great potential. Nice property, nestled on a mountain side, overlooking the sea. But it has been neglected maintenance wise, and it is not run well. Our room was nice, spacious and bright, overlooking the sea (they all are). But the balcony has peeling paint, dirty railing and water running down from the wall AC unit. AC is so loud, it keeps you up half the night till you get used to it. Our rooms were infested with sugar ants. No drying racks of any kind, even though the room instructions direct you to dry the wet stuff on the balcony. Hotel staff apears friendly and polite, but, with few exceptions, not very helpful. Front desk ladies love to say NO, even to simple requests. Restaurant staff mills around randomly. Sometimes you get a wet cloth (save and take to the room, as washcloths are not provided). Sometimes you get a cloth napkin. Often none of these. Internet is horrible. Our group package came with free 2 hour internet daily per person. But they always run out of code cards, and often the internet is so slow you can't even load email in 2 hours. Not coming back here.

Room Tip: It is impossible to avoid stairs here, but if you want to minimize them, ask for the first floor.

Had a 2 days and 1 night stay for an institutional activity at Eagle Point Resort.

Accommodation was a bit slow. It took us 30 nearly mins before we arrive at our rooms. But somehow one of the staff took the charge to accompany us to have a light chit-chat while were waiting plus the welcome drinks.

The bed was nice and cozy. We managed to get a room where there's a balcony facing the sea which was fantastic. Played the karaoke, billiard and table tennis until we got exhausted - after all it was included in the package. hehe

The dishes were quite good. I managed to get my 3rd plate on that evening and a couple of iced tea.

The tour around Sepoc Island was wonderful. It was relaxing. I feel like it was already summer and we're already done past final exams. Although at that time of we saw many sea urchins instead of corals. (Well we managed to see many but most were quite dead already and turned white) Somehow our group managed to eat a live one RAW just for a challenge. The back portion of the island was not that rehabilitated since it was rocky and we did saw a few plastic bags and paper cups floating ashore while we're exploring the island.

The breath-taking island rock formations along the island, its clear pristine waters, and the white sandy beach was definitely their best asset. I'd love to go back there.

P.S - I really liked the place since at that time of our stay there were only few guests. Which suits to my liking to have a perfect relaxation.

We, 11 adults and 3 kids stayed for 2 days and 1 night to Deluxe rooms. We arrived at 10am and the receptionist was able to help us to get one temporary room for us to wait by 2pm on our check-in

Deluxe rooms have 2 queen beds, 32" LCD TV, shower bathroom and terrace (facing the beach). Food is great, and ala-cart food ranges from Php300-Php500/per meal but the food is great..really has a Pinoy taste. The kids enjoyed the two pools, and as a whole family, we went to "Sepok Beach", a white sand, which cost us Php6,700 for renting a big boat good for 30 pax and 30 mins. boat ride from the resort.

All in all, as my second stay...my whole family enjoyed our stay here. Definitely, I recommend this resort to have a wondeful family outing.

Room Tip: Get the Deluxe Rooms... for better stay!
