“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

We both had been travelling for many hours and all we wanted was a good nights sleep in comfy beds and a meal.
I was recommended this hotel on the forum and it was just what we needed and it was a magical mystery tour to find it, so ensure you have the GPS plugged in.
We did take a detour about 10 minutes before we arrived as the 'UPDATED' tomtom did not know a road was blocked and a new roundabout had replaced it.

You travel around the rice fields which are interesting and makes for wonderful scenery, past tiny huts and small holdings. When we eventually found the hotel we were delighted. There is no private parking available but there is on street parking which we were assured was safe.As i entered there was a smell of incense but i like that sort of thing and it was not too overpowering.
I was taken to 2 rooms on the ground floor and he asked me which one i wanted. The quality was excellent, modern interior with very comfortable double bed, free wifi, windows with mosquito nets ( take some anti mosy stuff with you) and quality soap and lotions for the shower and hand basin. GIRLS you will need to take some hair conditioner with you. The lights, radio in the bathroom and TV (Spanish only) were explained to me but I appreciated it. Were were shown the breakfast bar, honesty bar and told that we must go up to the first floor to see the sun go down.

There is a small modern fridge in the room with water for sale, spare pillows and a safe.

The first floor open living room was interesting with fabulous views of the rice fields where there is a telescope. There was a lap top which may have been for the use of clients but not sure.
Once you are in the hotel you are enclosed with a high wall which makes you feel secure and completely private just the sort of place you can shut out the world and relax. In the inner courtyard they offer massages in a purpose built hut, lounges, each room has a table and chair by their door plus a nice seating area near the breakfast room. I think its an adult only environment which is great for me. The honesty bar is well stocked and not too expensive. The breakfast, which was included, has absolutely everything you could want to eat, there was no cereals but none was needed. Regrettably we were only there for one night, next time we will go back and take some time to look round the area.

Room Tip: I have no complaints everything was truly excellent but you will need to take hair conditioner and m...

This lovely little hotel is in a tiny village on the Delta de Ebre. The area is totally flat and is surrounded by rice fields. The hotel is run by Sisco Porres and Maria. There are 8 individually decorated rooms, all of which are immaculate. Sisco very kindly showed us around. He prepares a wonderful breakfast and nothing appears to be too much trouble for him. There is a small courtyard garden around which all the rooms face. There are two lounges, one upstairs with views over the rice fields and one downstairs. There is an honour bar where you can help yourself to drinks. The showers are brilliant and the beds extremely comfortable. Now for the downsides: the village does not have a shop. There are a few restaurants and bars in the tiny village but the food, for the most part, is not very good. Probably best to go for dinner in the nearby town of San Carlos de la Rapita. Biggest downside of all is that there are hoardes of mosquitoes. Take your mozzie spray and keep the screens closed at all times.
