Mt Wife & I stayed @ the Fontmell 16 - 18 August in a lovely high vaulted room named Babushka.
The room was really nice with a huge walk in shower but no bath not that that was a problem. Upon arrival fresh milk was brought to our room to go with the ground coffee and cafetiere which we took out to the garden.
Because the weather was good we spent quite a bit of time in the garden with a drink reading the papers.
Dinner both nights in the restuarant was very enjoyable with a good price range depending upon your budget. The only downside and the reason for not awarding 5 stars was due to children being allowed to run round the restaurant unchecked at times screaming quite loudly on the second night. After dinner we sat outside by ther river that runs under the hotel only to be joined by more screaming children splashing around in the river loudly enough to make conversation difficult.
Before I get accused of being an old moaner I have two grandchildren of my own but there is a time and a place. . .
Overall though I'd recommend the Fontmell.
