A steep walk down to the house but well worth it. The house is fascinating and full of history as you would expect. The information cards are of great as you walk around , they give you an insight into the house and it's history if you prefer to go at our own speed . The map of the gardens is very useful , we made full use of it even though it started to pour with rain. Yet another NT treasure. Well worth a visit , the shop is down by the house so be sure to visit before climbing back up the hill. Everybody was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is at the top of the hill with no entrance from inside the grounds , so you can go for a coffee before or after your visit.
