“Good hotel for business trip.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013 via mobile

Hotel in great location right next to terminal at Stansted, also just a few minutes walk away from Stansted train stn, with trains direct in to London. Comfortable rooms, clean, and well furnished. Breakfast was great, with a couple of nice restaurants for evening meals. One evening my company laid on a mini gala dinner and food was of an average standard, very disappointing and nothing to write home about. The brownies at desert for example were to hard to even bite into!! An alternative was offered but by this point most colleges declined.
The lobby bar was really nice, great atmosphere and fascinating wine angel.
I would stay here independent of work if I was in the area.

Used the Radisson Blu prior to an early morning flight out to Europe. I do like the hotel - the bar is brilliant with the wine tower and performing 'artists'.

Food is good and not unreasonably priced.

The comfort of the bed is something I could was lyrically for hours... I had a cracking night's sleep!

Radisson Blu hotels are in my experience always exceptionally clean, impeccably well maintained and the rooms stylishly well appointed. The Stansted one is up to the usual standards.

Good noise insulation and effective black-out curtains meant that I got an excellent night's sleep. I don't like the dinky little half-length pillows though, so if staying for more than one night I would make room in my luggage to bring my own full size pillow.

Plenty of parking, though I object to paying £10 to park overnight as a resident when evening guests park for free while spending less!

Brilliant venue for a big party, the catering team being adept at mass dinners of a high standard even when faced with a large number of vegan, gluten free and so on.

Very efficient check-in, friendly staff. Comfortable beds, good room facilities including ironing board and iron. Hot shower with plenty of water. Everything is clean, modern and welcoming. We didn't eat at the hotel as we only had a quick overnight before our early flight the next morning. The cost of drinks was incredibly expensive though, we bought 2 blackcurrant and soda waters and the cost was £8!!! In some public houses that would cost 40p and the maximum we've paid before is about £1.50 per drink so £3 in total, those prices need addressing! However it was fun to see the flying bar angels.

We had to go Stansted airport to collect a family member on Sunday morning. At the same time we wanted to pamper ourselves so we had chosen this hotel and we were right. The reception service was stunning and we got all what we needed. Our hotel room was spacious with comfortable beds and all handy facilities included. We also enjoyed some fun in the swimming pool which was nice but too short for a proper swimmer. All the meals were tasty and not too expensive like for this class of hotel. The best thing of course was the location. 5 minutes walk and you are at Stansted Airport and this is the walk under the roof. So you can get up just few minutes before picking somebody up .

Have stayed at this hotel before and we were surprised at how much the facilities have gone downhill since we were last there.

Booked the hotel for the convenience of the location - this is the one thing that cannot be faulted.

The room was clean but there was no shower gel which was very inconvenient as we didn't check any luggage in on the flight so couldn't bring our own. Also what happened to the pillows? When we stayed before there was a choice of pillows on the bed for us to use, this time there were four very, very small pillows more like cushions really.

The next disappointment was breakfast. I agree with other users there is a good selection on offer but there was no sign of any orange juice and there was no prunes. Also the bacon was very dry and the fried eggs could have bounced back to my table.

Yes I would probably stay again because arriving late it is too much hassle to catch a bus to an off-airport hotel but I think it is a lot of money to pay for an 8-hour stay.
