“Life is beautiful here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2010

We had our wedding reception at the Masseria in May this year and it really was incredible. The food is divine, the staff are wonderfully helpful (above and beyond the call of duty), the rooms are spacious and uncluttered but have all that you need, the bathrooms are beautiful, and importantly it is very clean and incredibly well maintained. I literally could not heap more praise on the hotel and I work in the industry myself. Elio, who was an absolute saviour in organising our wedding, is one of the kindest people you could hope to meet, he really did so much more than we could ever have hoped for to make our day truly the most memorable of our lives. He cared so much you would have thought it was his special day!
The beach club is a wonderful addition, so is the sister property Torre Coccaro. We had friends and family (including children) stay at both properties and everyone had the most fantastic week.
As an experience, beyond just a wedding destination, it is just so perfectly calming. Within the grounds there is no other sound but nature and then outside you can walk and cycle along the winding olive grove lined roads and head into Monopoli or Ostuni to soak up a piece of town life. It is charmingly rustic.
The golf course and pool are perfectly maintained and the spa is a wonderful retreat for some pampering.
We stayed at other properties on the Amalfi Coast and Capri for our honeymoon and the Masseria is undoubtedly in the same league, and in some cases a higher one.
Gushing over. Needless to say, we'll be back.

we stayed at torre maizza for 4 nights during out recent vist to puglia. the hotel was beautiful. Our jr suite was roomy, clean and extremely comfortable. great pool. food was delicious. fabulous breakfast buffet, dinner was delicious and fairly priced(although wine list was very overpriced) the fitness cent was in the neighboring property, 10 minute walk away. the very nice beach club is a 10 minute car ride away.lunch at the beach was very nice as well. we have stayed at other luxury properties in Italy including Splendido and Il Pellicano last simmer and torre maizza is in that category and 1/2 the price

This is a first-class resort all the way. The hotel is located in a large, old Masseria, a fortified farm in the middle of an ancient olive grove with amazing architecture. We only stayed one night, but we will definitely come back for another stay. Friendly professional service, outstanding facilities and decor and superb food. The breakfast buffet is the best I have had in Italy, period!

The hotel has a private beach restaurant that serves an outstanding lunch and is great for spending a lazy afternoon. It is a 5 minute ride in the free hotel shuttle.

What more can I say? Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Don't think that you will be staying in the Masseria itself. All the bed rooms are in a purpose built block and a bit like staying in a converted garage with lovely foliage outside. We had dinner in the restaurant and possibly the most expensive sea bream in the world 115 Euro for 2 small fish! That was for just the fish everything else was extra. The staff in the restaurant were very nice and the breakfasts are good but the reception staff were very abrupt and unfriendly, The roof top area that features in a lot of photo's is simply a pile of cushions in one corner, no bar or any facilities up there. The beach club is very nice but the beaches here are nothing to write home about. All in all a big dissapointment. We were expecting this to be the best of the 4 places we stayed at during our trip to this area but actually was the worst. We stayed at Sextantio le Grotte della Civita in MATERA and this was absolutely mind blowing, truley amazing and in Ostuni La Sommita also really lovely.
I will not be returning to Masseria torre Maizza.

We exclusively hired the Masseria for a private party and also used their inhouse catering/events team for an event outside of the hotel - all I can say is that it was one of the best experiences I have had running an event as the whole team were fantastic.
The staff were faultless, always friendly, on hand 24/7 while still being subtle, and willing to help with everything. Overall the service both prior to the event and during our guests 4 night stay was impeccable.
The hotel itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable - there are lots of different spaces to escape too for relaxation and if you do want to venture from the comfort of the hotel there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas and a gorgeous private beach club! The food is beautiful and the knowledge of the staff mean you always know where the ingredients are from and the best wines to accompany your choice.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a seriously relaxing break or a place to host an incredible wedding/party/event.

Masseria Torre Maizza is a beautiful old farm house surrounded by century old olive groves and luscious green lawns from the 9 hole golf course with a view to the sea. The hotel has it's own beach club with amazing restaurant serving delicious sea food and only a short ride away with the private bus provided. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and each with it's own balcony.
The food deserves a Michelin Star, the service is always with a smile and the whole atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the surroundings are breath taking.
There is a spa with Aveda products. The spa is in a cave. My masseur Angela was brilliant.
I don’t play golf but the golf course looks beautiful. Green grass immaculately well kept.
Torre Maizza offers all the amenities and activities for an exclusive vacation in Puglia which still has so much to offer. The surrounding villages and cities are well worth a tour.

I have too many pictures to show so go have a look at their website.

the food was fantastic fish, wild truffles, pasta and cheese you name it
the pool is unbelievable relaxing and really luxurious in a fantastic garden
