“Perfect honeymoon destination for small, young family.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2011

Well I can tell you that this was a perfect place which we loved! We were on honeymoon with our 2 year old daughter. What struck us mostly about the resort was the superb staff! From start to finish the service was impeccable. We became friendly with 3 of the bar staff called Tamara, Zita and Laura from the Dolphins and Ammos bar. Our daughter was calling Tamara Auntie Tamara after 2 days She was that taken with her! Nothing was a bother at all. Our pram broke 1 night and the hotel had it fixed within hours, considering some parts had fell off and been lost we were very impressed. The guest relations were very informative and all spoke fantastic English.

We had a sea view suite which was stunning. The room was cleaned sometimes twice a day. The electrics blew due to the kettle fusing and an electrician was in the room within minutes. The suite was light, airy and a comfortable size. Very good shower. I would say this is quite an exclusive resort and this shows in the clientele. Very nice families just wanting a relaxing holiday from all over Europe. There was plenty beds around the pool but you have to go quite early. Even if the pool is the busy the beach is 5 seconds walk and the staff are on hand to find you a bed. The beds are very comfortable and sturdy supplied with a parasol between 2. Towels are readily available also.

There is a "Dine around" option which suited us great. We were half board but liked the fact we didn't have to eat in the busy buffet each night which was plentiful in choice but just a bit manic. There is a few restaurants in the marina but a few are not included with this option. You are restricted to a set menu which didn't have much choice so we tended to go a la carte. This is where it got expensive. We like our wines but unfortunately it tends to be only Greek wine served. We managed to find a Pinot Grigio which was 49 euros! The service was hit and miss. On more than one occasion our courses came separate, resulting in neither 3 of us eating together! I don't know if maybe this is a greek custom to dish out the food when it was ready rather than in courses. Sea you up Japanese food was stunning also Tomato.

The entertainment was ok but we think that a couple more bars with maybe a bit of livelier music would make a difference on a night time maybe light rock/dance to get people going a bit. The open air theatre was good but the shows a little cheesey! The drinks were expensive ie cocktail 10 euro, wine 7 euro, coke by the pool bar 5 euro. Obviously Greece is expensive for English with the euro. You pay for quality and you get it in hoards with this place.

Overall we had a lovely relaxing honeymoon. The setting is stunning and the hotel and staff were superb! We are seriously thinking of going back as it would be very hard to beat! I would tell anyone to go as it is truly a beautiful place :)

The first thing that stikes you about the Sani resort is the friendiness of the staff and their geniune desire to provide a warm and enjoyable stay. So why head this as "mostly"? Well this is a big operation that makes you hotel bill at the end of your stay seem on par with Greece's current debt levels. Driving from the airport (approx 1 hour), we pull in for petrol and are greeted by 1.63 a euro for a litre of petrol! With the exchange rate against the pound pretty much even, you can see driving around Greece can be an expensive busienss. So why mention this? At the moment, we are all counting our pennies and at Sani your pennies will dissapear quicker than than that first cold beer they serve so well in all of the 15 bars on the resort. The cost of drinks is quite extraordinary and will send you scurrying to your room where the mini bar actually seems cheaper, execpt ours was not stocked? Maybe the last occupant, cleared it out as some sort of defiant gesture.
We were a family of three adults and having paid three full adult prices, you would at least expect three beds, three mugs, three bath robes and enough coat hangers for three? I know this sounds like the story of the three bears, but at least they had three beds to sleep in. We are given a 1950's Z bed with a mattress thinner and flater than Kate Moss's stomach . My son who is over 5ft 9in tried to sleep on it, but gave up after 5 secs. I managed 3 secs. Come on 5* Sani, you can improve this surely? We did manage a room change and thankfully got a sofa bed, but still squeezed into a twin room.

This resort offers a dine around scheme. So what's that? Well apart from the hotel's two restaurants there are other restaurants dotted around the Marina and other hotels that you can eat in. Some you receive an allowance if you are half board and some you can order their set menu and therefore choose not to have dinner in your hotel restautrant, if that makes any sense? Frankly, it's a bit confusing and needs to be make clearer both at check in and with the written info given.

There are various evening entainment events taking place and teh Beach Party on a Wednesday is a must - with a preferred white dress code and is quite fun.

Clearly this is a well oiled operation and I would not hesitate in reccomending this as a safe and prefect family holiday choice. Just take plently of Euro's or give up drinking!

Room Tip: Avoid camp beds!

We stayed at this beautiful Hotel for a week in mid June. It was a perfect holiday in a lovely location.
The staff were all so friendly, cheerful and helpful and the service was first class.
We loved the Spa and all the wonderful treatments. Special thanks to Spiros and his staff.
The food was delicious every where we ate.I adored the desserts at the Veranda restaurant. Special thanks to Natalie the Restaurant manager and Petros the senior chef.
Our room service was excellent. Thanks to Menya and her colleague.
Above all the highest credit to the manager Mr George Adam for all his hard work in managing this truly wonderful impeccable hotel. It is faultless. We can`t wait to go back and have highly recommended it to friends and family.
A big thank you to all the staff at Sani Beach Hotel. Kathy and Makis

We don't usually go back to the same hotel or resort as we tend to want to try different venues, however after our first visit to Sani Beach two years ago we decided to go back again this year as we knew we would be assured excellent quality. We were not disappointed and found that several new additions have been made to the hotel particularly with the addition of the Garden Theatre and the lovely fountains and water feature at the front of the hotel.
Possibly the biggest selling point for this hotel are the fantastic staff, a point which comes over very clear in most of the reviews and you really could not wish to meet such more courteous, helpful and efficient staff in every part of the hotel. Natalie and her staff in the Veranda restaurant are a pleasure to be around and ensure that they look after you very well.
This may be regarded as a quiet location for some people who like to see plenty going on, however it is very peaceful, largely unspoit and the marina is lovely to walk around day or night and to sit and have a quiet drink. If you are looking for karaoke, Sky Sports, fast food outlets and happy hour bars this will not be for you. However if you are looking for excellent quality, peace and quiet in a great setting then I highly recommend this hotel.
The White Nights beach party was a great night and we were able to get some great photos due to the loaction and the light from the setting sun. After being fortunate enough to have been on many holidays abroad over the past 25 years we can't praise Sani Beach enough - we love the place - and we will be looking to go back hopefully several times over the next few years to come.

Room Tip: Go for sea view as we were disappointed with the location of our room on this occasion in Block B ov...

We chose this resort because it had excellent reviews on Trip Advisor, but we weren't able to get our first choice of a room at the Sani Beach Club - this turned out to be a blessing because the location of the Beach Hotel was much, much better.

Initially we were a little disappointed with our beach front Junior Suite because it was very small for 2 adults, 1 child and a baby (37sqm), although it was very well appointed and situated. If (when!) we return we will definitely get a Suite which has two rooms, even if we then forego the direct beach access. However, it would be even better if the hotel made some of the ground floor junior suites into larger suites as they have by far the best beach access. At the moment the hotel is definitely not a 5* property as there are too many rooms/guests and the main restaurant is struggling with quality over quantity.

Having said all that, the location, on a long sandy beach with shallow, warm sea, and the lagoon style pool, again warm, was just wonderful and we had very little incentive to leave the hotel other than for lunch/dinner. We dined in the main restaurant only 3 times in just over 2 weeks and the rest of the time we went to the marina or twice to the Sani Beach Club, Ouzeria. In the marina there were 3 particularly good restaurants - Psaroyannos Quzerie, Tomata and See You Up. Although there was a choice of a menu for hotel guests at no extra cost, we opted for the à la carte (hotel guests have an allowance or 20% discount) and had some wonderful meals.

The children, we have a 4 1/2 year old and an 8 month old, could choose to eat in the main restaurant early and the service for the baby was particularly good as they would puree your choice of food on the spot or have it ready if you pre-ordered. There was porridge in the morning and more than enough pasta/vegetable/meat choices to keep them well fed and happy.

In terms of facilities for our older daughter, she was in her element - we hired a bike for the duration of our stay and she could cycle to and from the marina, which reduced the 'I'm tired' chorus! We pre-booked (essential) her into the Kids club for most mornings and every morning she would rush to the breakfast table to find out the itinerary for that day. The staff at the club provide a babysitting service for the evening but we didn't take this up as we felt the room was too small and restrictive. Ideally we would have preferred the club to run an evening session (as they do at the Valle Del'Erica in Sardinia). The main pool was so good for everyone that we didn't even discover the kids pool for a few days! Our daughter spent at least 4 hours in the water every day and had to be dragged away. It wasn't high season when we went so we didn't encounter any mad sunbed bagging and generally found room at the beach or pool whenever we wanted it.

The staff were a real highlight of our stay - incredibly efficient, friendly and helpful and made a real effort to get to know the children.

Apart from a travel blackout blind (which we which brought with us after a tip from a Trip Advisor contributor, thank you!) we could have bought everything else at the resort including nappies, toiletries, magazines, baby snacks, beach toys etc.

Room Tip: Best rooms are in 'B' block, facing sea.

We are a middle aged couple who stayed for 2 weeks in June. Cannot get over how wonderful the staff were especially Joanna in the in the reception area bar, and the restaurant staff. Wonderful selection of quality food in the adults only Veranda Restaurant and our room was clean with a comfy bed. The sea was aqua marine, warm and safe and the beach lovely however it does get busy at weekends. However there was a lot of badly behaved foreign children complete with rude aggressive parents who could of spoilt our holiday if we had allowed it. Tip for the future - there needs to be more 'Adult Only' areas within the complex !!! Overall it was gorgeous.

A large group of us stayed here in June and it was a marvellous experience .We had all individually stayed in some wonderful resorts around the world but we were all unanimous that we would return here.If you want an active holiday then this may not be the place for you.If on the other hand you just want to chill out then you won't do better. There are some activities like Volleyball.Soccer and Water Polo and a large amount of tennis courts. The setting is spot on with a beautiful beach a minute's walk away. The food is buffet style and there is plenty of variety and lots of new things to try and a good selection of Greek dishes.Rooms are of good size and the public areas and bars are beautifully furnished.Great to see that they actually enforce the prohibition of towels left on loungers early in the morning while people disappear to return much later. These towels are simply removed.Way to go! The open air theatre provides good entertainment of a cruise ship standard and there is also an open air cinema.Great place for families as there is plenty to keep young kids occupied.Nothing here for teenagers and best of all no lager swilling, football shirt wearing yobs. The crowning glory of this hotel is the staff. We have stayed in plenty of hotels and resorts around the world but the staff here are miles ahead of the rest.Always smiling in a genuine and not unctious fashion. They are all charming, chatty without being obstrusive and and a credit to what must be a top drawer management team.We will be back and that is a promise we intend to keep.
