“A surprise find in anatmospheric village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

In the morning we visited the Chateau at Peyrepertse (don't miss if in the area its fantastic). We were recommended this restaurant and after a couple of hiccups finding it decided it was well worth the search. Friendly efficient service and great food that was also good value for money. Both the plat du jour and card were good and there was a superb Catalan tomato on toast to start. The creme Catalan was great as a dessert. Its located in an old olive oil mill - inside you can still see thepressing floor where the donkey trod round and round. We sat on the terrace and although you can not quite see the chateau you can see the hills and vines.

“The best Plat de Jour ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

We only had time to visit once and it was lunch time but will go back for more one day. The Plat de Jour, served to four of us, was a large tasty pork casserolle served with a big dish of haricot blanc and plenty of good bread. Washed down with beers, it had to be the best we've had and in a lovely spot under the shade of a willow tree.
