“Quiet, nice hotel close to the airport and the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

This hotel was a great combination of being close to the city and the airport. The breakfast included in my room was great with a wide selection, the staff was very nice and they give you a free public transportation card for the duration of your stay. You can reach the city by a 5 minute walk to the bus and a 10 minute ride or you can take the free airport shuttle to the airport and take the train in to town which took me a total of 30 minutes including walking. Despite being close the airport it was a very quiet hotel and there are two restaurants and a bar/restaurant located onsite. The only drawback is being away from the city center but this can be a good thing too! A recommended property.

Stayed one night and was immensely impressed (I'm a little suspicious of some of the 1-star "Terrible" reviews too).
The building and rooms and all public areas are uber-modern which may not be to everyone's taste but the bedrooms and bathrooms are extremely large, extremely well-equipped and comfortable.
The location is definitely "Geneva airport" not "Geneva" and it's all obviously focused on Palexpo, rather than city visitors.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
The bar was a little sterile, but that's not uncommon in these out-of-town airport hotels.

The shuttle service to the airport works well but if taking the #5 bus, it is essential to use the stop at Grand Saconnex Place rather the seemingly more logical Palexpo (because there is no way through) at the latter.

Room Tip: Low numbers are away from the lifts

I stayed for 3 nights in October and it was a disaster from start to finish.
For a start the heating/ air conditioning did not work. I sat in my room in my coat for half an hour before anyone attended, however they could not fix it. Another hour or so later someone turned up with an electric radiator that of course could not provide enough heat for a large room.
Later on another engineer turned up who managed to turn on the heatin but the controll did not work , so by the time I got back from dinner my room was boiling hot, and no there was no window that you could open.in the morning I was woken up by the wake up call of my neighbour as there was a connecting door between the two rooms you could hear everything!
Dinner was a disaster too with my main course arriving cold. They kindly took it away , to bring the same dish back a few minutes later after it spent a few more minutes on the grill...
Day two I complained again about the aircon and was told what is the problem , the room is hot!
So I told them the problem is that the comntroll does not work. Eventually they moved me to the room next door as I insisted I needed to be able to rest. As soon as I moved they started fixing the system , with all the noises I could not rest.
On day two at 430 pm my room was still not cleaned, when I caomplained I was advised this was normal.if I wanted they could send someone around soon. The point is when you attend a conference you just want a clean , comfortable room and no cleaners and engineers when Im there.
Their complimentary shuttel service every 20 mins left us waiting at the airport 45 mins.
Never again!

I

Dear guest,

Thank you for your valuable comments, which show an unfortunate series of situations, which do not reflect our standard of service.

We continuously train and follow all the team members to assure the best possible attention to our guests ‘expectations. Obviously it did not work in this case and we do apologise for the perception you had of our hotel.

Nevertheless, we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again under other circumstances.

Regards.

Excellent business hotel near the airport; This a big impersonal hotel that knows its business, clintel and does its work very well. Its clean, chic, sophisticated, with great service. rooms are very comfortable, food is excellent the breakfast buffet is wonderful. Its would be hard to find fault with this place. They have a nice fitness center and spa also.

First of all, the decor: they didn't go in for bland and safe, it's borderline kitsch with bright colours and odd sculptures.
Second, the swimming pool: it's clean and long enough to swim laps (when there isn't an aquagym lesson on: it's open to non guests through membership, so can get crowded. There's a sauna and a steam room as well.
Third, the breakfast buffet, although expensive, offers a wide variety of hot and cold, sweet and savoury foods, and they serve decent coffee.
Otherwise it's a typical but comfortable and welcoming airport hotel. The lobby shows flights arrivals and departures, and the shuttle to the airport runs every 15 mns (except at night between the last arrival and first morning departure so if you've gone to town for dinner and are coming back very late you'll have to catch a taxi).
Some of the rooms have been modernised, and are very pleasant with a modern and spacious feel. The ones that haven't yet been refurbished are a bit grim. The hotel has two wings and extremely long corridors so if you don't welcome the exercise ask for a room close to the lift.
The seasonal courtyard bar with its fountain and herbal garden is a very relaxing place.
The restaurant L'Olivier is expensive and doesn't offer a great deal of choice. Room service is also expensive. If you have time, you're better off taking the shuttle back to the airport and jump on a train to go into Geneva, where there are many excellent restaurants and cafes. A transport card is provided free upon request for the duration of your stay (they usually offer it when you check in, but not always).
The staff are generally well trained (some are Ecole Hoteliere trainees), courteous and efficient.
Wifi is available everywhere in the hotel.
Overall a cut above most airport hotels.

We were recommended the hotel by a friend who saw the room sizes stated as 400 sq feet+ and they were.nicely done with simple but nice toilets.we realized how much value the spaciousness gave us.
The hotel was a mix between old style rooms & contemporary lobby& f&b spaces.
The cp drop to the aport was every 15 mins.
B'fast was well laid out & the nervous interns were sweet.
It wasn't a Lesutra (the indian art hotel in Mumbai) but there was an attempt at art.
The GM's wife I believe is fond of it.
We would recommend this as a good 4star property.

Nice modern just for transit hotel. Close to airport and Palexpo. Far, far from Geneve center. With a very nice spa, this hotel can be a good choice to stop over between two flys. But, because is a BUT, the services offered like exchange rate are not fair. So ask first about their prices for everthing!
