I'm sorry to say I left my cabin 30 minutes after checking in. It was too damp and smelly and after turning up the heater the athmosphere got even worse. The heater, as well as the cabin, apparently hadnt been used for ages so spread a burning foul smell. The athmosphere in the TV lounge and kitchen wasn't good either with furniture and cutlery all over the place, the owner tol me it was from a wedding a few weeks ago... Definitely would NOT recommend this place, although the reviews on the beachfront units are positive, but do avoid the cabins!!

Yes, we have just had a family wedding for two young folk whose two and half year old has had cancer for the last 17 months. We have all been under considerable stress as other members of the family have cancer also. So it was done as cheaply as possible. It was a way bigger job for us than we anticipated, particularly with the winter weather. We received Nothing for it, it was all a gift of love- all the accommodation provided also.
So in a way we are paying again for it now.
That said, that is not your problem, nor should it be.
This is also our home, and for what you paid you still had reasonable accommodation, free internet and facilities, albeit a little untidy.
You booked the cheapest option and had you seen us prior to leaving, we would have given you your money back. It was explained to you the place wasn't at its best and you could have left without paying, but chose instead to go without even speaking to anyone,
and then write a negative review.
The stuff in the lounge no way impacted on seating, but was merely the marquee that had been taken down. As its been raining solid for weeks, no doubt it could have been musty.
Of course that was your prerogative, but having only stayed the half hour you say you stayed, refunding your money wouldn't have been an issue. Only the guest knows what they require.
We let the kids have the wedding here in the Winter so as to NOT impact on other people, but of course its the wettest time of the year and the worst time to clean up afterwards.
Our apologies, but we wish you'd come and seen either Snow or I, so at least we could have done right by you, rather than just leave and SLAM us afterwards.
