I stayed at "Auld Smiddy" Cottage with my 2 dogs for 1 week and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Very spacious, clean & very well stocked cottage which is situated in a lovely spot with views of the sea & lighthouse in the distance. Easy to get to most places. Lots to do and see. The owners, Diane & John, are very friendly and helpful. Will be going back and have already spread the word to my colleagues.

On thursday me and my friend decided to spend a weekend in Mull of Galloway. We tried to book a self catering place but as it was too late we ended up bookng a bed and breakfast. We had hundreds of doubts about the place. But I should admit that we ended up in the most welcoming, beautiful and comfortable place one would expect. Diane did all that you can expect from a good host.We throughly enjoyed the beautiful Mull of Galloway and our stay at the B&B. I have already recommended the place to many friends and colleagues.

Very comfortable room with armchairs in a big window looking out over fields to the Mull of Galloway. Diane cooks a great breakfast and knows everything about the area. We had some great walks in this under-explored corner of Scotland.

This is the place to come to if you need to relax and get away from it all. So much to do and see and the fishing is great.
Diane & John make you so welcome and treat you like part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent and the accomodation is home from home
We have already booked for next year to make sure we can stay there again.

My wife & I spent two nights with Diane & John and we were made most welcome. They have a great venue with wonderful scenery and the room was very comfortable. We appreciated the little extras supplied to make us feel at home. After sight-seeing, it was great to get back to their place, put our feet up, relax, and take in the views and serenity of the Mull. They were very helpful with advice on what to see in the area.

Stayed with 2 friends on a fishing weekend , and can fully endorse what others have said. Chocolate biscuits, orange juice, and fresh milk on the hospitality tray - little touches like this, the view from my room, the great breakfast, plus Diane's friendliness made this B & B the best we've ever stayed in. I would certainly return and would recommend it to anyone looking to holiday in this area.
