“What a view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Go across the Golden Gate and drive or bike to ALL of the places to view the bridge. Each offers a different perspective. We rented bikes at Fisherman's Wharf - not for the exercised challenged as it's a challenging ride up, but the view is spectacular. Go on a clear day or you will be disappointed. This was one of the most fun activities we did while we were in San Francisco.

“Get up early for the best views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

If you have a rental car, make sure you have your Golden Gate Bridge tolls paid online first. Aside from that, take the Alexander Ave exit and head west. Hawk Hill has the best views and Slacker Hill is incredible if you don't mind a short hike.

“A Hidden Gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

Great hiking trails, that are easy to moderate. The drive to the top is an adventure, so drive slowly! The views from different vantage points are fabulous. No water or food was available when we were there, so come prepared. We also went to the Sea Lion Hospital. The docents were some of the best ever. They were sincere, knowledgeable and dedicated to the animals' well being.

“Spectacular Views of the Golden Gate Bridge/SF”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

The Marin Headlands provides a traveler with many locations from which to view the Golden Gate Bridge and the SF skyline. If you park by the north approach, you can hike down to Kirby Cove. As you descend the trail, the SF skyline will appear above the bridge and then below the bridge as you continue your descent. There are other road stops and observation platforms that provide spectacular views on a clear day.
