“Outstanding chinese testaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013 via mobile

Visited this amazing restaurant for a second time. Once again, food was outstanding. I had the buffet, husband a la carte. Buffet had perfectly cooked vegetables, every dish was delicious, fresh, tasty, and husband's soup and fish dishes both excellent, and his crab puffs or whatever you call them were very crisp and delicious. The service was extremely fast, and by the time we had finished the place was packed out, and people were waiting to be seated. This restaurant enjoys a well-deserved high reputation for miles around.

“A casual place for decent Chinese”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2012

This is a VERY casual restaurant. They serve both buffet style and regular sit down meals.

We had a regular meal off the menu. But I did look at the buffet and found there were a lot of choices. The food looked fresh and it appeared that most people were eating from the buffet. The price for adults was 10.75 for dinner. I think lunch was around 7.75

We had the pork fried rice, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork.

We spent 34.00 for the four plates and there was enough left for another two to three meals depending on how much you eat.

The SS Pork was good. I am not a big pork eater but it was tender had good flavors.
The Mongolian beef was mild even though it was supposed to be hot. The peppers were hot. The beef was tender and flavorful.
The sesame chicken was tender. I initially didn't like the sauce, but after awhile it grew on me. I was just not use to this sauce. Most of the sesame chicken I've had has not had this much sauce.

The pork fried rice was good. Looks like it had all the prerequisite stuff, large chunks of pork, egg, rice and decent flavors.

Service was attentive. The entire staff was of Asian descent. I only mention this because another favorite Chinese restaurant I frequent in another town has Mexican cooks, for California that is the norm.

Both of us said we would go back. They have takeout too.

“Will not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2012

We actually read the reviews beforehand and decided to give it a try...will not go back. The food was overcooked, stale, didn't feel like the restaurant was clean either.

“Good value, tasty preperation of fresh ingredients.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2011

Skipped the buffet which better than average, but still was meat and seafood oriented with the usual suspects...broccoli beef, chicken wings, etc. Ordered veggie deluxe and moo shu pork off the menu, both were very good and good portions.

I'd go again in a second, much better than all the $ Chinese restaurants in my home area.

“Decent food at a fair price, no ambience to speak of”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2010

This restaurant served decent food and although there was a buffet there was a large menu available. I couldn't help but note that we were the only non-Asian family there, which normally suggests a more authentic restaurant, yet there were only forks, not chopsticks, on the table (they provided them immediately when I asked).

Service is fine, and the food looked good, but a few items were off. I had the crispy duck special, which was quite dry, and wy wife had sweet & sour chichken, which was also a bit dry. They seem to handle vegetables better than meats. Other dishes were better.

Other posters have commented on the ambience - it should be noted that while there is very little ambience, it's not seedy or dirty at all - just kind of plain and dated.
