“Do the Rubicon Trail!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

We were here a few years ago and liked the Rubicon Trail so much that we came back. It's easy and winds along the lake, so you have a nice walk with beautiful views. There is also a lovely beach. Just go there!

“Best Beach in Tahoe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We did the Rubicon trail hike from Emerald Bay - ending at DL Bliss State Park. The hike was gorgeous, but the ending at the beach was the best part. This is the best beach in all of Tahoe in my opinion. Soft sand, clear water, great views, easy access. We even saw a bear on the drive out! (Parking is $10 if you want to get close to the beach. Otherwise park on the road and hike down.)

“Rubicon Trail: Beautiful Lake Views & Easy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Enter the entrance to D. L. Bliss State Park and drive to the parking area for Rubicon Trail. Head south on this very well maintained trail with outstanding views of Lake Tahoe. You can go all the way to Vikingsholm (3.5 miles) if you wish, or go as far as you want and retrace your steps. You'll be very glad you did.

“Dawn kayaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We opted for the day use pass on this visit. It is best to get here at dawn, as we did, to put in the water for a wonderful kayak trip along undeveloped (if you head south) lakeshore. We had forty minutes on the peaceful lake before we saw the first power boat. Doesn't get better :)

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

The main beach was okay, parking was hard to come by, but we hiked to a little spot and went in the water there. We stayed for hours and had a blast. No one else was around and it felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves, except for a few paddle boarders and kayaks that would go by every so often. We were just there for a few hours and didn't camp there.
