“Long Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2011

Beautiful property and service. We had an excellent long weekend here just relaxing. The pool area and gym were perfect for enabling us to forget about work - and the warm weather certainly helped. The staff were wonderful and we had a great evening served on by Emma. While the 5 course degustation was very good (and wine match perfect) we were left a little hungry afterwards which was a pitty.

We stayed in the Macon suite for 3 nights. This hotel is superb. They gardens and buildings are beautifully maintained. Every single member of the staff (particularly Max, Catherine and Andy the chef) were enthusiastic, welcoming and helpful. The food was sensational to eat and beautifully presented. The accommodations were such that we would have loved to have stayed longer to enjoy it. Our every wish was their command and the staff did all that could be done for us to enjoy our holiday. Thank you very much.

Room Tip: I only saw our suite, but I doubt very much that choosing one suite over another would make the slig...

We spent 2 nights at Mangapapa hotel for our tenth wedding anniversary and every element of the experience was PERFECT. From the moment we arrived to this beautiful homestead (and spectacular grounds), every need was attended to by Catherine, Max and staff. The Mason suite was HEAVENLY with all the added extras you expect from a luxury hotel that really make the difference. The restaurant food is SUPERB - 5*. Mangapapa really is a hidden gem and we are surprised not many people know about it. We definitely plan to come back.

Catherine, Kylie, Krista, Hannah, Glen and the rest of the team at Mangapapa could not be more welcoming. From the time we got there till the time we left, nothing was a problem.

The food is fantastic, the service second to none... not to mention their attention to detail in the rooms. Won't hesitate to stay there again. Thanks so much guys.

From arriving at the airport until the time we have to leave, we have been treated wonderfully by an excellent team.
I would recommend Mangapapa to anyone who wants to breathe the fresh air, walk around a beautiful garden and also to be able to go and explore it's surroundings be it Napier, Hastings or Havelock North.
All the services offered are second to none from a wonderful pool and gym to a fantastic meal at night or in the morning.
Thank you Catherine, for all you have done for us. Truly legendary!!

From the moment we arrived the staff could not do enough to help us. We were greeted taken to our room; which was everything we hoped for. Breakfast time was relaxed with a good choice - the evening meal was beautifully presented and delicious. The grounds and the orchard were lovely to walk around and bikes and hats were provided if you wanted to take a bike ride. Tennis rackets and golf clubs were also provided. We sat relaxing by the pool and drinks were always available. We loved this hotel, the staff were delightful, always ready to help, even driving us to visit a friend and collecting us at the end of the night.
