“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

Was staying at the nearby Telegraph Hills and had an hour to kill. Arrived with low expectations but was very impressed. Professionally run, great interactive sections for the youngsters, good mix of education and fun...and a large range of fantastic natural honey to buy. Not the Natural History Museum but would thoroughly recommend calling in.

Well set up & interesting insights in to bees & honey in nz. Loved hands on learning opportunity. Great for kids! Tasting the honeys meant we ended up with 3 jars!

“Great family attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

This is a great place for children (and adults) to visit to find out about how honey is made. There are lots of interactive things for children to do and they can dress uplike a bee or bee keeper! There are live bees to see and a short movie to watch. There are lots of different types of honey to try at the tasting bar which are available for sale in various sized containers. The also have hand and body care honey products as well as furniture waxes, candles etc.

“Honey!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

This is a family owned and run business and is a great place, especially for kids, for information on honey production. Everything you ever wanted to know is here - and more. They make an amazing range of honey and the shop has a tasting bar so you can find your own favourite. Lots of honey-related gifts as well as the honey itself in a variety of size jars and bottles. I bought a couple of 1.4l bottle of manuka honey. The staff are very friendly and helpful, telling me how much I would be able to bring back on the plane. This size and packaging was perfect for packing to bring back to the UK.
