Let's start with the positive sides: it's location is beautiful, right overlooking the ocean, with a great patio and roof top terrace. Yoga classes are good and fun. Breakfast and lunch packing options are good -if you are quick and early-...
But be warned...:
Check in is most of the times super awkward. If someone already hears the doorbell (all the guests do constantly all day all night) and opens it, you can praise yourself lucky. Then you are seated in the living room and have to wait ages before someone comes to attend you, or they simply stare at you not really knowing what to do with you or even expecting you. Some of the staff are really nice, more of them are surfer arrogant. It took them 5 days to repair the WIFI, and when several guests complained about cockroaches in the rooms they didn't even look into it or seem slightly alarmed.
Diners are mostly okay, but way over priced. Same goes for the so called 'extras': beverage, beer, wine, crisp, candy, that they are selling. Walk 2 min and you will get them for 20% of the price. Same goes for the trips they organize, we seriously wondered were all the 'buffer' money goes to.
Surf lessons are fun for the first day or two (they do explain some basic wave rules, and proper technics for standing on your board), but once you stand up teachers do not seem to notice you anymore. From the third day onwards they spent about 1,5h outside the water messing around with each other, not even looking at their students. Advise take one or two classes, then just practice yourself.
Be aware that the dog (half pony) of one of the owner always runs around in the house, meaning stinky saliva on couch, pillows, towels and so on. He literally smells like a wet old dog.
The horror for every traveller only revealed itself at the end of our stay: they do not clean the sheets... like ever!! We already had a suspicion when we arrived, but discovered it on our last day. My mattress cover had some sunscreen stains on it. Once we check out, we left our luggage in the room to be picked up after surfing. When we picked up the luggage we were told not to touch anything in the room as it was made and cleaned for the to arriving guests that day.... the stains were still on there. Funny that you only put the pieces together at the end of the week: we never saw any laundry machine, or sheets laying around, or staff making beds or any laundry van pick up service; rooms were always cleaned very fast; sheets actually smelled like slept in sheets...... So remember to ask for clean sheets or bring them yourself, if you do not want 20 people slept in your bed before you.
Basically it is a real 'money making machine', a rip off.
Take one of the double bed rooms, preferable with a bathroom (2 bathrooms for the entire house alway...
