“Everything a Comfort Inn should be.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

I stopped in Swift Current on my way to and returning from Calgary in April and found the Comfort Inn to be just what I needed for a good nights rest. The room was on the first floor with an outside entrance so I was only feet from my truck which was full of expense equipment. I actually got the same room on both occasions which worked out well since it was very close to the breakfast room. I did take advantage of thier free breakfast and found it typical for that type of hotel. Recommend this hotel for a quiet night with free Wi-Fi and close to restaurants and the highway.

Room Tip: First floor with outside access is secure but you can keep an eye on your vehicle if you need to.

This stay started out badly from the time we checked in. The clerk on duty was doing some paperwork and did not acknowledge us or look at us, but after about 30 seconds said 'I'll be right there'. She kept doing her paperwork and after another minute repeated herself, and after about 5 minutes, finally checked us in. I spent 17 years in retail and I am very aware of when I am being 'dissed' by someone with bad attitude. (When I am treated this way in a retail store I immediately ask for the manager, and I will be copying this review to the manager). When we got to our room it was freezing--we had to turn on the heat and wait about an hour for it to warm up. (There was no thermostat-it was a heat/air control at the wall that blows out air). The room got extremely hot in the middle of the night and I had to get up and turn it off completely because there was not a lower setting. Then, in the morning I had to get up again around 5:00 am and turn the heat up again because it was freezing again. This was very uncomfortable and no one had a good sleep. The room was poorly lit, and one light bulb was burned out. The room was on the small side as well. The towells in the bathroom were very old and rough, and the shower did not work properly-it had no power and just dribbled, but at 6:00 am it was a little too late to switch rooms. The continental breakfast was not very good quality food and not fresh. For this quality I would have expected a $79 room. I will not stay here again. To be fair I will say that the rooms were clean.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years and never had anything less than a great experience. The rooms have always been very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Some have been there for many years and so welcoming when we go to check in. We have recommended it to others and never heard anything less than favorable comments about it. Continental breakfast offered a good variety which was great considering we stayed for 5 days. Definitely met our expectations.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are very convenient as they have patio door access

We've used 6 different hotels during our vacation and guess what? It's the worst stay; couldn't sleep due to bug bites. Talk to the front desk, but they couldn't find any evidence. It's the most expensive hotel, but very disappointed.

We have stayed at this hotel on few trips to Sask and each time we find it the best hotel in Swift Current. We enjoy the ground floor as you can walk into the rooms from the outside so you don't have to carry your cases fhrough the lobby. We will stay here again

Room Tip: Book the ground floor

This hotel has very convenient outside access to the rooms on the ground floor. The staff were quite pleasant and accommodating to our needs. Their website clearly states that they are pet friendly for a small fee ($10). Overall we had a good stay and our expectations were met.

Arrived here after a 12-hour drive, both of us with bad colds and sorely in need of a good night's rest. Hotel was a little awkward to get to from the Trans-Canada westbound, but we figured it out. Were delighted with the ground-floor drive-up room we got, made for very easy unloading. As an unexpected bonus, the room even had a fridge and microwave! Although the hotel is on a busy highway, it is far enough back that we didn't notice any traffic noise at all.
Staff were friendly, breakfast was standard but more than adequate, and most important, we had a nice quiet night. If passing thru Swift Current again, would definitely stay here.
