“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I would have to say that the decor definitely could be improved. It's like visiting a small town bar. BUT the food is so good, so cheap, and you get lots and lots of it!

“Great Mexican”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

Good selection for food. Took a Mexican friend there and he said the meal was just like how his mom made it. Priced well. Evening entertainment does happen and the restaurant is more of a cantina then (underage costumers not usually allowed at that time).

“Almost felt like home...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

They have the best Denver Sandwhiches ever! I love denvers and here they put lots of melted cheese on them and they just melt in your mouth! They go great with a pint of O16 ;)

The servers are always friendly AND they actually smile! Huge thing for me and customer service! I'll definitely go back...especially for that Denver! I've never had one better anywhere in town...and trust me, I love my denver sandwhiches!

Sure wish I could make it to more shows! I've only caught a few and have been quite happy since my music tastes are very open! There is always something going on here and I love that about our local businesses. Keep up the great work!

“OK/”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

The portions of food are good and the atmosphere is quite good but the decor could change a bit... It seemed quite dirty everytime I was in there.. with some sort of permanent "stench".

“What You See Is What You Get”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

Amigos is defiantly downscale; it is not unkind to call it a lovable dump. Sprawling over 3 interior dining and drinking areas and a pleasant patio and deck alfresco for the summer months, it's a place where middle aged locals come to eat earlier in the evening and the young crowd descends for the late evening music. The menu is mainly Mexican, and it's good. I especially like the quesadillas, the nachos are decently decadent (though a little light on the sour cream and salsa), the combo meals with black beans and rice are filling, and the chalkboard features a permanent set of specials for each day of the week. The beer selection is just so-so. The service is friendly if somewhat harried when the place fills up. It's noted more as a band-friendly venue catering to the indie set, but Amigos is a genuine hybrid where the food is as important as the tunes. If you want better surroundings and somewhat better food, go to Las Palapas. If you want to run into someone you know, go here.
