“What a tapas bar should be”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012 via mobile

Interesting and varied choices, well priced, good wine. What's not to love? Loved the chickpea and arugula salad, gnocchi with sage butter, meatballs and the grilled bread. Yum!!!!

“Small Crowded Yummy Little Joint”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2012

Well this small place reminds me of my youth, just add smoke from 30 smokers and 3 or 4 excited foreign languages and I'm there... I like to come in late and press my way to the bar which very Canadian, but makes the place so much more comfy. It's a nice place for a snack if on the higher price yet tasty side. Go for the meatballs and duck gravey poutine and wash it down with two or three Spanish beers or a very nice selection of wine. The youthful service tolerate the crowded confines and noisy late nighters with grace and aplomb. Come after dinner and stay til close and dont mine me pushing you a bit so I can get a nightcap.

Excellent bits and bites to tease your palate - fairly pricey.

“Slightly above average experience, significantly above average price.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2011

Went to DDG with a large group of friends, the service was excellent and the food quality was great despite this the atmosphere and aforementioned did not substantiate the cost and as such I found there to be little value. Dont get me wrong... Its a great place but be prepared to leave hungry with a large bill.

“quirky atmosphere and good tapas but odd service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2011

The kitsch-y atmosphere of this place (formerly Wezceria) is great. The tapas choices my table of 6 had were overall pretty good. The service of food was alright but the waiter took one of our drink orders at a time... 6 times over. And the 2 drink specials listed were not actually available (they had run out of sangria at 7pm and couldn't get into the locked room where the rum was kept--??? kind of funny but... odd) Likely just new staff and kinks to work out but the service combined with the price of the tapas would not make this my first choice for a night out with friends again. I'm sure they won't miss my business, however as a group of a dozen hipsters were lurking over our table for a half hour before we left. That was uncomfortable since the venue is tiny.
