The Bushwakker Brew Pub is all about Beer. They brew some of the best beers in North America, one of the owners judges across the continent in brewing competitions, and it was rated among the top 5 brew pubs in Canada by the Globe and Mail.
To get an idea how good their products are, then be aware that their Christmas meade sells out within 30 minutes of it going on sale. They even have a countdown clock to meade time (I used the original spelling of meade).
The food is good to very good pub grub, the portions are Prairie sized which means plenty. The burgers are in the very good category. Some of the other menu items are inconsistent, but not terribly so.
Parking is a bit of a problem in the area so you need to get there early. Avoid Friday as you can't get near the place without walking blocks. Not a pleasant prospect when its 30 below zero and the prairie winds are howling.
But if in Regina, and you like great beers of all kinds, then the Bushwakker is a must visit. And if you can't get in, the Cathedral Village Freehouse also sells Regina Pale Ale and Dungarvon Irish Red, both top of the line Bushwakker products.
