5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

My family and I were traveling across the country and booked a room here on night two. We very much enjoyed out stay. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. Hot waffles and as it was Fathers Day, They also had cut pieces of cake for all the Dads ;) Was a nice gesture. Soft beds, fluffy pillows, would stay there again for sure ;)

Thank you for your kind comments, we strive to make our breakfast as enjoyable as possible. Fresh hot waffles in the morning are delicious. Our breakfast consist of scrambles eggs, ham or sausage depending on the day, fresh baked muffins, fruit, breads and bagels, hot and cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, and pastries.

The Canadian Prairies have several of these new Best Westerns, and this is similar to the rest. The lobby, halls and rooms are nicely furnished and decorated in earth tones. The breakfast room was one of the more well designed I've seen, with food that was better than some hotel breakfasts, with a good variety including hot items.

On the downside, I found the bed uncomfortably hard, and don't really like the heaviness of a single duvet bedding. Although this was a business trip, the rest of the family ended up joining me and they were satisfied with the beds. Unfortunately they weren't very impressed with the pool area. The pool and hot tub were great, but only my 7 year old daughter thought the waterside was fun. To the teen it was "lame" as it only has about 20' of elevation and is quite short. It you are looking to spend time in a waterpark go to the other Best Western in Regina as the Seven Oaks has a pretty good waterside, even if it is getting old.

Finally, I don't intent to return here because of the price. The best rate they offered was about $175 after taxes, which is about $30-40 more than other comparable hotels in Regina. I booked here because of the Best Western Rewards, but next time would try the Seven Oaks or sacrifice the rewards and go elsewhere.

To end on a positive note, the staff was professional and attentive!

I travel a lot for business and spend over 100 nights per year in hotels. Since it opened this hotel has been consistently good. I've stayed here a number of times and always received friendly service. the rooms are nicely appointed and always clean. The breakfast is the usual fare for Best Western with scrambled eggs, sausage, selection of cold cereals, juices, etc..

There are some new restaurants in the area that are good for a drink or supper.

A personal fav of mine is having the large screen TV close to the work desk as I often work in my room in the evening and like to have the news or, now, the hockey game on. The work desk is a good size and not cluttered with coffeemakers etc. so you have room to spread out.

I'd recommend this hotel to any business traveller.

This hotel opened in January of 2013 and we stayed in May, so everything was shiny new. The fitness room was aces with good equipment and amenities. The room was very comfortable with great beds and a very comfortable armchair. The breakfast, which is laid on, was adequate, but a bit monotonous-- the hot food was scrambled eggs and either bacon, ham, or sausage every day of our five day stay.
My only real criticism is that there was no on-site restaurant, although there were several within easy walking distance. It is way out on east Victoria beyond the Ring Road, but Regina is so small that everything, including the airport and Wascana Lake and Centre are very easy to get to. A lovely stay and many happy memories.

Room Tip: They seem to be all good.

Came in after a hard day travelling, was impressed with this new BW, my colleague thought the rooms were huge and he slept like a baby in his room. Hard to complain about anything, breakfast was good, would recommend this hotel to any of my fellow business travellers.

I had the misfortune of having to spend 80 days in Regina to handle a project. After a week at the sandman (yikes) and a lot of searching through disgusting furnished suites that were exorbitantly priced we stumbled on the Eastgate. The manager Tammy gave us a tour and negotiated a very fair long term rate with us, to our surprise we were the first clients to ever have spent a night in the suite we took, It was brand new. Obviously the hotel is spot on as it has been open for only 5 months now, amenities are bang on, it has a nice breakfast included and great pool facilities, gym, etc. This hotel is in Regina so there is no scenery or views to speak of, it's just off the highway to Winnipeg. If I had one complaint it's that on the weekend the hotel fills up with swarms of hyperactive children and they're usually complacent parents which makes using the pool and breakfast facilities unpleasant, however I can hardly fault the staff and the keep on the food and cleanliness very well. If you can't get through saskatchewan in one shot, you could do a lot worse than bunking down at the Eastgate for a night!
