It was closer to the dinner hour than the midday rush when we finally stopped for lunch at Prairie Oasis. We weren't sure what we were getting into there, but we were pleased with our meals. We were told that most everything on the menu was made on the premises. The food was good, seasoned well, and portions were generous. The staff was helpful, friendly and attentive.
It is obviously a popular spot with the locals because the place was starting to fill up at the end of our very late lunch. It had a nice homey feel when the regulars started arriving. This place is much better than going to another franchisee of some national chain where most of the food comes out of a big can.
