My husband and I had dinner here in late May. We climbed the stairs from our Lower Town hotel, dined outside and watched the busy sidewalk of passers-by. The only issue was the fact that the restaurant must have just set up their outdoor seating for the summer season and had yet to get the outdoor lights installed, so when it got dark, it was dark and we had to use phones/flashlights to get a good look at our food!
I had the lamb tagliatelli with the sesame ginger carrot puree and it was excellent. The lamb melted in my mouth. Perhaps a little strong on the sesame flavor in some bites, btu this is because I am not a huge fan of sesame. The dish also contained fiddle head ferns which I had never eaten, so it was a new experience. My starter salad was nice as well. My dessert was the most creative dessert I've had in quite some time. It was the "strawberries and corn" "fraise and maise" with lime basil sorbet. Very different, some could call it odd, but I loved it. Frozen strawberry yogurt, sweet corn cake, and very intense lime basil sorbet.
My husband also had a good meal, but we both concurred that my lamb pasta was the best.
The server at first, was a little distant, but he warmed up and commented on my husband's French pronunciation (in a good way).
We had 3 dinners at 3 different restaurants while we were in Quebec City, and I think the food was far better here, for only a few dollars more than we spent at the other establishments.
