“A very romantic setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

We made a reservation at Le Saint Amour based on a local recommendation. We were not disappointed. We had the chef's three course menu but started with foie gras five ways (awesome), followed by a wonderful vegetable soup with truffle cream (considering it is in the high 30's outside - this hits the spot), salmon three ways (also wonderful), then a main course plus cheese or dessert.  Unfortunately, I am satiated and there is no room to truly appreciate my dessert, but no problem all the food and wine was delicious plus the service outstanding.

“Real Franch food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Costly but worthy! If you have the budget for an AMAZING night out in the heart of the old Québec and crave REAL French food; the Saint-Amour is a must. True French traditions, great service and crazy tasty French food! The wine cellar is the most spectacular of Quebec City. over 12,000 bottles and a wine expert always in the place. Ambiance and Valet parking included too.

“Must be experienced”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at le Saint Amour in early November. We only had one night in Quebec City and the dining experience combined with the walk from our hotel on the old city streets really was magical. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The food was as good as we have experienced at some of the best restaurants in the world. We would highly recommend that this unique restaurant be at the top of your list if you are in Quebec.

“One of our favorites from the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

Fantastatic meal, great wine list, great service. Not too far out on the foodie side of fare. My wife and I had dinner here our first night in Quebec City on a 6 day vacation. One week, later, I can't remember all the details. I had lamb, a cool desert but I forget what as well as the apetizer. Great wine that is hard to find in the States. Wine list is extensive and well arranged by label. So, Bordeaux by sub-appelation, the Bourgon Rouge, Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune, then the villages. So order dinner, decide the type of wine and then pick one from the wine list. For wine newbies, ask for help from the sommelier. Unlike many other restaurants in Quebec City and also Montreal, this resturant had a decent selection of wines for outside France, so a nice selectionof Piedmonts from Italy, as well as the US West Coast and Argentina. Great service, great decor, tied with another Quebec City restaurant as best meal of the trip. More down to earth, better wine list and on par or better food at the same price as L'espalier in Boston. Cost was around $250 USD a head
