“Great food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

Rabbit dishes were delicious -- the location and building were very cozy and unique. We will visit again for dinner as we had lunch there and couldn't try as much as we'd have liked. Recommended to anyone who enjoys French food.

“Enjoyed by Locals & Tourists Alike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

Lapin Sauté is centrally located on Rue du Petit Champlain close to the funicular. Starting with an excellent bowl of onion soup with local cheese we shared the charcuteries platter. This is the perfect way to taste such delicacies as rabbit rillettes & duck foie gras. Being lunch time on a cold & windy late October weekday the cozy front room of the restaurant quickly filled with locals and tourists (there is more seating at the back). Despite the ample servings we found room to share the famous apple sugar pie. Service was welcoming and attentive; prices comparative to similar quality restaurants in Quebec City. For a true Québécois culinary experience be sure to visit Lapin Sauté.

“We liked it so much, we went back again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2013

We ate dinner here twice during our 4 day stay in Quebec City. It’s a very unique dining experience in a cozy and welcoming setting. Obviously they specialize in rabbit, but there are other things on the menu also and everything was very good. On a cold night, I enjoyed the traditional bowl of hot chocolate which I highly recommend. Dinner, without wine, was around $100 with gratuity. Best to make reservations, which we did through the concierge at our hotel, the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac. Overall very good and a place not to miss for a great dining experience.

“Attractive place, limited selection, value not there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

The limited selection of rabbit preparations are quite expensive. A small cozy attractive place, A polenta appetizer was excellent, and well presented. The staff friendly too. But, wouldn't believe this place has many return customers. A single shared appetizer (we didn't choose any of limited rabbit dishes) and a half carafe of house red wine was $40CAN before tip.

“Excellent!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

I ate lunch here with my husband. We were in lower town when it started raining so we were scrambling to find a place to eat lunch. I remembered reading about thus restaurant so we decided to eat here, and I'm so glad we did. It is the cutest, coziest place with very friendly servers. It is expensive, so if you're on a budget come for lunch. We split a sampler of rabbit prepared various ways along with other sides. I hadn't eaten rabbit prior, it was delicious. The samples were small, but some of the best food I've ever eaten, highly recommend eating here!
