The Continental is an old-fashioned French restaurant, where they prepare a Caesar salad tableside. Their specialties are also the flambe dishes, and steaks (Entrecote and Filet) prepared tableside as well. Everything is first class, and the service, including the table service, is excellent. I give the food 4 of 5 because the steak was slightly overdone. Since I know in general to order medium-rare, it came out fine.
What is also surprising is the size of the portions. They were quite generous, without being overwhelming. But much larger than today's modern restaurants which give you 1/2 sizes and charge double. One rarely calls a restaurant like this a great value, but it is (not that that is why you should go, because it is hardly inexpensive). If you order the sampler for dessert (small sizes of three different desserts, it's more than enough for 2. Call this your evening activity, because you should not rush the experience. Relax and enjoy.
